Picked option 1 and followed the steps. Not being able to ever upgrade with SERO and the additional $10 charge for having a premium device was ridiculous. What phone now isn't a "premium device"? Not to mention the impossible task of getting customer support in a Sprint store with a sero account.

Sero line seemed to have swapped after I filled out the form because I got a text to set up my premium tidal account. $30 a month for this deal is significantly better than paying $50 for SERO.

Try to get customer support inside a Sprint store for any issue with a sero account and it would be enough to convince anyone to switch.

Good job Sprint after 10+ years you finally got me to give up SERO

BTW, if you intend to use the "International Roaming" feature, you'll have to call Sprint and have that feature enabled as it's not done automatically. When I followed up after my SERO plan was converted to SWAC, requesting information on International Roaming, I was sent this information:

"For all your International needs please contact Sprint Worldwide at
888-226-7212 Option 3. They have the most up to date information on
International rates and travel."

Enabling International Roaming was simple and only took a few minutes. It's included with your plan; but, does require this extra step.

Debating if I should switch to SWAC now or wait until the new Samsung Note 10 comes out so I can get the phone subsidized with a new 2 year contract (off contract for several years now)

Who is still doing sub phones and contracts? Also, has anyone confirmed if SWAC can buy at regular retail outlets unlike the SERO plan?

yes, there might be an area of the site where you can change services and it should show you the added cost to your plan for each feature.

i don't think there are any sub phones and contracts anymore, only flex leases, trade-ins and buybacks, it seems.

I emailed last night, as coffeecandy showed, and I was switched this morning! Didn't think I was ever going to give up SERO, until I jumped ship to Xfinity, but saving $20, Tidal, and 50gb hotspot did it!

Filed this on Friday and they emailed me saying request pending but still havent heard anything else.... And the hotspot feature doesnt work yet so i guess maybe at the end of my billing cycle

But as i recall, over a ll, the monthly cost of the plans also came down.

The monthly cost of plans were coming down before the contracts ended due to other factors. They certainly didn't come down enough afterwards to cover the cost of an $800 phone. That's $800msrp-$200upgrade fee/ 23mo. = $26/mo. And for those of us on SERO it was a killer, since our monthly cost didn't budge at all.

I couldn't tell you if there's another option for enabling International Roaming other than making a call, as I described, as I only had to do it once. I can tell you that this method was suggested by the CSR who processed the conversion of my SERO plan to SWAC and that it worked (and also, was very easy). If others would like another option, maybe someone could share their experience. Good luck.
