Sabrent 512GB seems out of stock. It says

"In stock on April 5, 2019. "

Also the discount is lower for 512gb only 12% off compared to 17% off for other models.

Not sure if I should just get the 1TB or wait for 512GB deals. I just wanted a 500gb and I feel $50 might come soon as SSD prices are dropping like crazy due to new PCIe 4.0 and even 5.0 coming

I just bought the 512GB two weeks ago for $89 so I'm a little sad to see this deal now but it's running perfectly so far on my end, very snappy. The one thing that I will add is that the out of box performance was 96.3% (based on Auslogic Disk Defrag Pro) it was 94 at best on my Intel 256 that came with my Asus Zenbook but after a few runs (I'm running Win10 Pro Redstone 5 which has a lot of fragmentation period) my performance on this is 98.9%. So use the tool of your preference to get it where you need to be but it was still really good out of the box and not much could be improved upon using performance boosters so I'm happy with it (even though I paid $20 more than this deal 😒)

Sabrent nvme don't do 512-byte emulation (Google "sabrent 512e"), which is only a consideration if you plan to clone/restore from an older spinning disk... I don't fully understand it myself but do your homework!

What if you were cloning from an existing SSD of some kind?

cancelled order due to issues with 512B vs 4K size issue. Apparently this will cause problem with encryption and cloning softwares.

Is that unique to this Sabrent variant of otherwise seemingly very identical controller/hardware to the Corsair MP510?

Or do the MP510's also struggle with this?

Cloning from an existing SSD does not or I should say did not work for any of the 3 or 4 different pieces of software I tried. I did not try to make an image of the drive then restore it. That should work... but the guy above says it doesn't.

Bought the 256gb few weeks ago....it took awhile for me to figure out how to install win10. My motherboard wasnt picking it up. After a lot of trial and error with settings it finally worked.
