I believe $300 is a regular price for this series

Edit: oh, it's $350. Then this deal is not bad if you get the rebate.

Is the regular price you both mentioned with or without the hard shell case?

It's been $380 with the hard case for a couple of months now. Still....seems like a good price.

Its been 380 with the hardshell case. I bought one and was very impressed. For 300 this is a steal IMO

I think might try to find it locally i dont like buying an instrument site unseen if i haven't at least played that model somewhere else first.

One question i do have is does anyone have any experience on how long it takes for their rebates to come back?

Don't count on SD rebate or supposed bonus gift cards. I've followed their instructions exactly, and pffffft- nothing.

It might take up to 8-10 weeks for the processing company to process, issue, and send out your gift card, though usually sooner.

Very little in the way of reviews. My guess is it is poor qc. Some people like it, but others say it is a crappy guitar. Sounds good on paper, but might be a gamble, and you will probably have to get it professionally set up to maximize it's potential.

I am looking for an entry level guitar with a straight neck where the strings don't touch the frets where they are not supposed to... Which was the problem with the last cheap one I bought.

I don't like cheap junk but don't play enough to spend money on a high end guitar. Would this be a gooder starting point? Any other recommendations?

If you are buying a guitar from an online seller that doesnt do inspections or setups, chances are high that you will need some adjustments. You should take into your local guitar luthier for a complete setup. As for the guitar itself, it would be great for a beginner at the price point of $300. In this case, you are not spending a ton of money in case you decide not to play anymore and you are getting more for your money. I like a beginner guitar to something like the Yamaha FG800. I great playing guitar, but buying new, your spending $200 for. $200 guitar, unless you find a deal. This one you are getting a solid built guitar you can grow into, as well as an excellent hard shell case for storage. Now, I dont own this specific guitar myself but i have the traveler version which I enjoy playing quite often.

It's a fine guitar. I bought and sold 4 of the deluxe models last year. They were all very nice guitars for this price. Similar to the Epiphone masterbuils
