I have no clue how this type of deal would work (getting my first phone after 4+ years). Would someone mind explaining it to me? Getting a new AT&T line will not be an issue.
It is bill credit from AT&T for 24 or 30 months. If you move out, you have to pay the remaining balance on the phone. New way of getting into a contract.

In other words . You just have to pay the monthly bill for wireless service and AT&T would credit back the EMI for phone
Just as people are reaching the 120 day minimum Google Fi commitment from the Pixel 3 $800 travel card promo last November. Hmmm.
Thing is, if you don't use that much data, the monthly service cost for AT&T is probably about the same as what you pay for Google Fi service plus the phone payment, so you would in effect be paying for the LG.
Still waiting on Pie for my G7 Thinq. It was supposed to hit Q1, but I just got the February 1, 2019 security update last night, so I don't see that happening.
LG's bloat slows the phone down a bit, and you can disable but not uninstall Facebook, which is BS. The phone should be a lot faster given the hardware, and I'm constantly having audio issues, even though "superior audio" was supposed to be a selling point. I don't think I'll be buying another LG phone anytime soon. I'd have to hear some really glowing reviews about this first.

You get a bill credit each month equal to the monthly cost if the financed phone (net $0) over 24 or 30 months. You can cancel the line whenever but then you'll forgo the line credit.
If this is your first phone/upgrade in a while, I'd recommend getting last year's model. It'll still be a great upgrade, have a solid support timeline, and save you a bunch compared to this deal.
I'd recommend you Pixel XL for example. You can use it on pretty much any service, not just Verizon.
what is the cheapest AT&T plan? the cheapest plan I see on Best Buy is $80/month??? I currently use less than 400mb per month.
also, how long before AT&T will give me the SIM unlock code so I can use it with foreign prepaid SIM cards when I travel in Europe or Asia? (not cancelling AT&T, just want to use soemthign else when I'm overseas)

Good observation, repped. Would never sellout personally abandoning Fi for Att/Verizon

Keep in mind you'll likely need a new sim card since sim cards several years ago we're usually micro SIM and now they after nano SIM.

Yeah I pay $12 a month. That's an extra $500 a year for two years with att.
