If you have an nvidia card and intend to play this on PC, I'd skip it even at 3 bucks. Game is pretty much unplayable unless you use very old driver, and even then lots of problems. If you have a Turing card--- forget about it. Google for details. If you're AMD, I'd Google too to be sure.

I really wanted this game to work well. And when it does, it is a beast and a ton of fun. (I have a 2080 Ti, got >100fps with settings maxed, buttery smooth). But research before accusing me (and many, many others as seen on reddit, geforce/nvidia forum, GoW4 forum, MS forum) of being liars. I'll admit I could have worded my original post better, but to pretend that there aren't significant issues that people are experiencing with this title is naive.

I enjoyed the game when I originally thought I wouldn't. Multiplayer is fun and while the story was alright, it's forgettable, though cool.

The story sorta forgets that the locuat/swarm are supposed to be a terrifying menace. They kinda make them into a joke here. The trailer for the next Gears looks like they're just focusing on the chick. She's not that interesting and neither is JC, Marcus's son. They completely miss that the game is about the enemy.

I just played this a couple months ago with a 1070 and it ran PERFECT.

I also tried it again with my 2080 and it runs amazing.

I'm not sure where you're getting this from.

The story model is not as good as the 2nd or 3rd but it's still good.

I loved the multiplayer online, played it like a year straight and am looking forward GOW5, I do recommend it specially for this price, it's basically for free.
