Still haven't gotten the $150 Slickdeals rebate from the AMEX card deal from a month back...

Vanguard money market is about 2.49% or so currently. Places like Cit bank is around 2.45%. Other places have 2.3-2.4%ish accounts. Purepoint has a no-penalty CD at 2.6%

But with 20K to play with, you may be better off doing the bank bonus game -- Discover/Capital One/HSBC checking/Citi and so on.

Don't counting on getting the SD rebate. I rarely encountered issues for more than 20 years dealing with rebates. However, I got zero SD rebates out of two recent SD rebate submissions. I am sure that I did what should do. Emailed SD repeatedly, zero responses. You have been warned.

Same here.I resent the email from HSBC that clearly shows the date of account approval, yet absolutely no reply from SD.

I called customer service today and they told that application is approved but further updates over email on how to set up online banking would take another 2-3 days. Money hasn't been taken from BoA account yet

received HSBC account approval email on 3-19, got $100 rebate today, however, I submitted the SD rebate form right after I applied for the account, before trial deposit was made and account was opened

You don't get it? Lets see, $1.00 in your account will earn 2.36 percent, just over 2 cents. $1 in this account will earn 12,502.33 percent, just over $125.02. Not big enough numbers? How about this, $100,000 in Citi will make you $2360. In this account, you will end up with $2375. (After 1 year).

I just wanted to note I got my rebate with no problem about 10 days after I submitted their form. This was for the previous $100 deal. I only submitted the form after my account was opened and funded.
