Still haven't gotten the $150 Slickdeals rebate from the AMEX card deal from a month back...
Vanguard money market is about 2.49% or so currently. Places like Cit bank is around 2.45%. Other places have 2.3-2.4%ish accounts. Purepoint has a no-penalty CD at 2.6%

But with 20K to play with, you may be better off doing the bank bonus game -- Discover/Capital One/HSBC checking/Citi and so on.
I checked our system and your approval is showing up on 3/8. You should receive payment by early next week.

I may look into this. I noticed that my Barclays Money Market seems to have reduced their APR to 2.1% from 2.2%. May be time to move.

Edit
Why does this say 2.3% in the title and 2.25% in OP?

Received my SD rebate into PayPal within 17 days, which is actually a surprise based on the statements in this thread. If anyone is on the fence, go for it. HSBC's login is a bit more painful than most other banks, but think of it as extra security for your $$$. A good password manager helps take the sting out of the login process.

Opened my HSBC account on 6/10 and SD rebates deposited $125 into Paypal on 6/27.

Once again, I didn't say things in the past were easy, but with a little effort, you could get your money. I also never missed a payment from Tiger Direct rebates (which have way more bad press than SD) as I know how to keep records and followup. I agree it shouldn't have been that way but that is life. People take no personal responsibility for anything, so yes, it is bullshit. I'm sorry, but I just don't believe that all these people that claim to not have received reimbursement 1. followed all the rules exactly and 2. followed up for their payment. Not once, in ANY of these threads, has anyone provided proof of following the terms, contacting SD when they didn't receive payment, and having SD not sufficiently explain the denial, or provide a way to get payment. What you generally see is people bitching (I NEVER GOT MY MONEY!!! F SD!!!), then disappearing when called out. As for how things are now, continue to miss out, while the rest of the intelligent individuals don't. I've saved hundreds with SD rebates (and thousands with others) and plan on continuing that trend. I guess I just must be lucky. I should go play the lotto....
So the fact that you never were screwed out of a rebate makes others liars and less intelligent and less responsible than you? Wow, you must fun at parties.

Spin it however you want. Shovel whatever bullshit you want. It doesn't change the reality of how SD and others offering rebates and promos have sometimes screwed people here in the past.

It has nothing to do with personal responsibility or lack thereof, or lack of intelligence. It has mostly to do with an industry that has been purposefully shady to avoid making good on fulfilling rebates. Google it if you don't believe me.

I have been one of those who have submitted rebates or done promotions where companies have tried to screw me over. I am a tenacious mf-er so eventually win out in the end. But I don't then come here and act arrogant and condescending toward others who didn't fare as well as I did either. Sometimes, good people are legitimate victims of others who are scammy. Sorry if that is difficult for you to believe.

It has everything to do with personal responsibility and intelligence. Follow the rules, stay on top of your shit, and be rewarded. Doesn't make it right, but I was never arguing morals/ethics with you. You just proved my point exactly... Good day sir.

Again, spinning your bullshit to fit your narrative rather than comprehending the entirety of what was written is a tired and obtuse tactic. You just proved my point exactly... Good day sir to you

I decided to try this deal/rebate just over 2 months ago. Even tough I read many complaints about SD rebates not being processed i figured the down side was low - just some wasted time, perhaps. So I went in optimistic but I have exceeded the 60 day period advertised and no joy. Sent an email today and will see if they respond.

This is why I generally hate rebates as their business model tends to rely on people forgetting to follow-up or declining on a technicality.
It was most annoying reading the posts from people that submitted the rebate after I did and got their bonus in less than a month.
