Still haven't gotten the $150 Slickdeals rebate from the AMEX card deal from a month back...
Vanguard money market is about 2.49% or so currently. Places like Cit bank is around 2.45%. Other places have 2.3-2.4%ish accounts. Purepoint has a no-penalty CD at 2.6%
But with 20K to play with, you may be better off doing the bank bonus game -- Discover/Capital One/HSBC checking/Citi and so on.
I checked our system and your approval is showing up on 3/8. You should receive payment by early next week.

No one is buying this bullshit anymore. Look at all the responses from SD in this thread. I guess they just chose to ignore you in all your other rebates you've tried. You must have the worst luck ever....
Relax. You've been here long enough to know that SD has had a horrible reputation for processing rebates. So if others post negative comments about SD rebates, it's not bullshit, they have likely been burned in the past, and have a legitimate gripe.
Perhaps SD is changing its ways in processing rebates properly. Hopefully that's the case, because where the actual bullshit existed was in how SD treated people here in the past regarding rebates. It is a positive sign to see many here report receiving their rebates for this offer, but I also see comments from those who have not. So yeah, I'm not sold.

Once again, I didn't say things in the past were easy, but with a little effort, you could get your money. I also never missed a payment from Tiger Direct rebates (which have way more bad press than SD) as I know how to keep records and followup. I agree it shouldn't have been that way but that is life. People take no personal responsibility for anything, so yes, it is bullshit. I'm sorry, but I just don't believe that all these people that claim to not have received reimbursement 1. followed all the rules exactly and 2. followed up for their payment. Not once, in ANY of these threads, has anyone provided proof of following the terms, contacting SD when they didn't receive payment, and having SD not sufficiently explain the denial, or provide a way to get payment. What you generally see is people bitching (I NEVER GOT MY MONEY!!! F SD!!!), then disappearing when called out. As for how things are now, continue to miss out, while the rest of the intelligent individuals don't. I've saved hundreds with SD rebates (and thousands with others) and plan on continuing that trend. I guess I just must be lucky. I should go play the lotto....
Hi, I was approved on June 11. I clicked and filled out the Slickdeals on June 18. Still no bonus in my paypal. Do I need to reply before my 30 days is up, or what is the status? Sure takes a long while. Thanks for any pertinent facts.
Been 60 days here. Not sure what's going on with my rebate. Was told it was supposed to be sent the 20th but I never received it. I am in contact with them, they do answer emails although not very promptly, but they do get to them. But I still haven't figured out what's going on.
I forgot to temporarily lift my credit freezes so maybe that was the issue. Will try again in a few after a temporary credit thaw.
If that was the issue, banks should tell you which credit bureaus they use and remind people to unfreeze those during the application process. Generally, everyone should have a credit freeze at all times unless specifically opening new accounts.
EDIT: that indeed was the issue. thawed my credit freeze for the day and applied again and it went through without a hitch.
Why do they need a credit pull for a savings account? Afraid someone will overdraw it? LOL
@munzdeals92 I have sent multiple emails to check status once on 15th June your reply was on 16th and I have replied back on 17th. I have sent additional email on 19th june. There has been no reply to my email on 17th or on 19th. Appreciate an update on the status
For those of you who received the bonus already, was it necessary to actually login to HSBC? That in itself is tedious enough, but if I need to do it, I will need to call them for certain numbers that I have not received by email.
Did this over a month ago around the end of May and still no rebate. Don't do this unless you are expecting to not get the rebate.

as noted in the first post of the thread it can take up to 60 days to receive the bonus but if you wish to contact them, the best way to reach the rebates team is via email: [email protected]
