General comment about air fryers. They are AMAZING. Food cooks in half the time and will make an unhealthy person, like me, eat veggies that taste delicious.
One review notes that the stir paddle sucks and that there is no light inside despite having a window. The smaller unit of this model seems very well reviewed. This one not so much.
I'd really like to try an air fryer. I remain discouraged after seeing reviews like this:

Seems a convection or toaster oven yields similar or better results for a few minutes longer and with consistency across your batch of food?

do air fryers consume that much more electricity than using an oven with gas prices?

i understand it's all dependent on pricing, but if they were billed the same... which would be more expensive in the long run?

They usually run about 1700 watts. Upon further review; this one is 1350 watts. Then depends on how long you cook. I cook everything @ 400* and start out at 5 minutes. Mostly things take 10 minutes. I'm only cooking 4 1.

it says 1350 watts. i can't cancel but i'm pretty sure i'm gonna return it. most smaller units are 1500+ watts so i don't think this is gonna do too well.

I've been using my 6.5 qt Chefman and Cuisinart Air fryers for 2 months now. I like the Chefman best and it's very quiet. I haven't used my stove ever since. In fact it's been unplugged. Great investment!

This is a good deal. I bought a 3.5L last year on black friday at best buy for $30, probably the best investment I made all year, I use it so much and it's not only healthier than a fry daddy, the food tastes great.
