I tried the omnibook X and on the X the key board is pretty bad. I would avoid it.

6C / 12T · 4.80 GHz... not sure how much TDP is tied into Boost state.

I bought the slightly upgraded version of the flip 2-in-1 that has the AI 7 processor and a little bit more memory (24 GB), and I like it. It's a very good little device. The keyboard is a little different than a typical laptop keyboard, but I like it.
The flip's laptop keyboard didn't bother me. If you're looking for independent scissor switches, though, then you're probably going to want a different laptop.

I just bought the bestbuy Lenovo for $500 (Amd Ryzen AI 5 340, 16gigs ram, 512gig ssd).

i've opened the box but havent turned on the Lenovo yet.

Which is better? (I prefer Dell since I have lots of Dell laptop powerbricks)

Dell powerbricks doesn't matter, it's USB C charging.

I can't stand Chromebooks and I'm looking at getting a new computer. Except I'm really leaning to just jump into Apple computers for their efficiency and long usable lifespan. I have an apple mini 5 that will feels snappier than a Lenovo IdeaPad from 3 years ago.
I have a Windows desktop that I hardly use.
Any thoughts of something like this over a MacBook air. I don't care about the OS. I can and have used both (Windows and Mac) fairly often.
And I do have both Android and iPhone for work.

According to you without specifying what "pretty bad" is?

Dude, use Macs with family for over 35 years. Anyone else is better. Over half our Macs had problems over that lifespan. You are buying into the hype, smoke and screens.
