Dang dude don't you have anything better to do? You ever work retail? Stuff happens. It isn't a big conspiracy as you imply. We all know these deals are YMMV and sure some employees do get to the product before a customer does but is it really necessary for you to respond to everyone and tell a huge injustice has been done and they need to take it to the Supreme Court.

Congratulations, you have now been blocked.
That's not how it supposed to be done. What gives a retail employee (stockers) a right to keep products from customer unless authoritized by upper management? Is it written on your employee handbook?
One of retail job duties is to perform accurate inventory counts and to prevent theft.

Customer had to waste their gas and time because of your selfishness or laziness providing fair customer service.

If you're tired of having customer coming over and over asking for the same stuff, then simply take all that out from storage, then ask your boss to recount the inventory. Why couldn't you do that?

We need to start reporting employee who lies and lazy. They know what they're doing behind their boss, unless Big cooperate doesn't care that their staff drives away customers from coming back.

How do you know that if the YMMV deal can't be found at the store that automatically means an employee "hid it", "stole it",etc?. You don't.

That person also doesn't know when he tells anyone who says that it couldn't be found to report the employee, manager, store, etc. Like I said, a bunch of whiny little so and sos who are pissed they can't get a YMMV deal so their response is to turn in to snitches.

Really? 5 or 8 electronic such laptops or tablets which are locked in a cage by CSM keys were stolen? When we get home after arguing, the number decreased by 2 on the same day?
So, what does that tell you?

The employee lies to you and is keeping the laptops somewhere in the store. They still have two at that store (886 Niagara Falls Blvd.) as of this posting. They were last scanned and verified by someone for stock count and price this morning. They scan/verify stock count and price every week, and print new price tag (as needed). The clearance tag was last printed more than a week ago; but since the price remains the same, no new tag was printed this morning.

If you really want the laptop, report the employee's full name and the store's address to the Walmart corporate using the link below:
Code:
https://corporate.walmart.com/contact-us/store-corporate-feedback
Walmart corporate takes inventory very seriously and will ask that store's AP (Asset Protection) manager to investigate. I highly doubt they are sold/missing/stolen; they are still somewhere in that store as of this posting. Laptops just don't disappear into thin air; this is not a James Bond's movie. Hope this helps and good luck Big Grin
The above works! My store showed 2 in stock. First employee said someone stole them. Second employee said they don't sell any laptop in store and you could only order them online. I pointed to the laptops locked in the cage behind him and he said those are customer returns and defective. I reported them to corporate with Walmart app. Make sure you include the employee full name because at my store, there are a few employees with the same first name. Also include the store address and a way for them to contact you.

Took about 3 days for corporate to contact me. The corporate girl was nice. She apologized and said she opened a case with the loss prevention team to investigate and someone from the store would call me. I got a call from the store manager a day later. He was also nice and professional. He said to give them another chance to find the laptops and he gave me a time when the electronic manager on duty would be there to assist. I went to the store later that afternoon and met with the electronic manager. He asked an employee to look for the laptops at the back of the store. Suddenly, a few other employees came out nowhere and offered to look for the laptops. I had never seen any employees this proactive and helpful before and thought I was dreaming in a Walmart wonderland. In about 10 minutes, an employee brought the two laptops from the back. The electronic manager asked if those were the laptops I wanted. I said yes and he rang them up for me and apologized again. Not too shabby. Today, I received a survey from Walmart asking how was my shopping experience at that store laugh out loud

Since it's you versus the employees who want to keep the laptops for themselves, I couldn't think of any other way without getting corporate involves. If anyone has any other way to win the battle between you and the employees who keep items to themselves, I am always listening.

Just wanted to say thanks the OP for finding this great deal. It was super irritating but was able to snag one of these on my fourth Walmart after 3 hours driving around 2 counties. Girlfriend has been bugging me to get her a new laptop for the last two year and after bombing the last two black fridays on Dells laptop deals (impossible to get even if you have everything set up they sells out within seconds) I said screw it would prefer an in store experience for once and Ill be damned if I didn't one. The first Walmart I went was the Walmart Supercenter #3722 they had "2" in stock and are located in my city of Kent OH. I was able to pick up 65 inch HDR 4k Sharp there on Black Friday thanks to this very site and I only had to wait like 5 minutes before it open so I figured this would be an ease as this isn't nearly as public. An employee with glasses working Electronics was there to "help me". He was extremely rude and just said they had none and several other people had looking for the item. He didn't look my printouts or even scan my barcode. Me and girlfriend immediately thought he was lying and they saving some for themselves. I decided I would give customer services a try and the gentlemen there said it was In-Limited stock so it may or may not be store or on truck or something and I should go back and ask someone in electronics to help me? That wasn't going to work. I was with the family and my kids are younger and it was getting late so we decided to leave and drop the fam off. Off to go to the Brookpark location which was listed as a Limited amount. Was met with an young woman how could care less. She actually mentioned she was about to go on break and during this time she had blown off a couple looking for a phone, and another seeking to purchase a Tv and even suggested I ask someone else to help as she was the only one watching entertainment section and could not go into the back. Luckily I did find a young man and he was happy to help and apoligized about said lazy worker. Unfortunately he admitted he didn't now the back well and this wasn't his section. He did scan the barcode and looked to see if any surrounding stores had an inventory and pointed me to the Elyria location. This one had 5 in stock. Weird thing about store is there was like 15 employees just chiling in back not doing a damn thing right by the Tv section and I still had to ask for help. Anyhow the older lady that helped me was super helpful but clearly didn't now anything about computers but allowed me check the upc codes of all the caged laptops. She even got a manager and he looked as well and said their inventory system is mess and stores can't see each others inventories. WTF is this true? Where are the 5? That would also mean that young lad at the other store lied. Was angry and disappointed and heading home when I remembered that there was a smaller walmart that was a slight 15 minute detour out of my way. Ending up going to the North Olmsted store which was listed by BS as also Limited. I actually spotted what I thought was, in the cage behind the counter myself. I could see that was HP and had the correct name But it was to far away to see the upc code or if it was an i3. After a long wait for an employee he open it up for me. I was finally able to see it an everything checked out. He walked me up to the counter and I prayed this thing would ring up correctly and viola after putting in the serial number 199.00 showed up and my nightmare was over. With that said if you really want this still ,make sure you have the bar code and preferly even a print-out to show these guys what the hell it looks like. Ask if you could look directly into cage yourself. At the Brookpark store the rude girl, was merely looking for a price which my final unit didn't have or even a clearance sticker. Look at demo/display units. The older lady had mentioned that under those are where thay keep those specific models. Maybe an i3 was misplaced under an i5 demo (didn't realize this till I got home). And more importantly just hope you get lucky and you get someone that actually cares or a manager. Also for sure they are employees hoarding these away big time. Remember these people are severely underpaid and I don't blame them for not giving a $h1t, I would too if I worked in a cheap hellhole. Once I got home BS listed the Olmsted store as out of stock so it appears to be on point and very accurate. Anyhow this was experience. Also attached is a pic, lighting is super crap I'm almost out of juice no flash. PS the box is a lighter blue colorClick image for larger version

I have the tool to check when an item was last scanned physically for stock count. That employee at store #4597 lied to colton5419 when that employee said someone bought them all. The laptop is still somewhere in that store, where it was last scanned for stock count yesterday morning as I posted Big Grin
According to post #78 store #2124 had an inventory count of 14 on April 16th, but the store associates were not able to find any of the units listed. What is the inventory history on this one? 14 laptops is a major loss and as the person who posted this said, seems far fetched.

All sold now. Last inventory count was on April 22. None were reported as missing so I am fairly certain someone actually bought them. I could dig deeper and let you know later when the last one was sold.

Remember, boys and girls, be polite and nice to all employees. Don't fight or argue with them in the store. Just walk away politely and report all unscrupulous employees to corporate and let corporate deals with them. Good luck!

It would be very interesting to know when the last unit was sold.

If these were indeed sold, it was very unscrupulous of the employees at this store to deny the sale of these laptops. In fact, I would go so far as to say this is theft should it turn out they were held back by an employee for personal gain because the store is loosing out on thousands of dollars in potential sales.

There was a deal on printers for $22. Retail price was over $100. I grabbed one and the guy scsnned it and sait it mustve been wrong. Asked me where i got them from and it was on the clearance isle. There were about 10 left. The guy grabbed two and put them under the electronics check out desk. Went to grab 2 more and put them there as well. After 15 mins, he then proceeded to ring my item so i could pay for it lol.

These walmart employees, some are cool as hell. Others, not do much.

I remember trying to buy a 65" samsung 4k for $189. Girl said it was broken and couldnt sell it to me. Went back at night and the store was dead. Was trying to get the ipad mini for $199, no dice. Then i see the girl and two guys hauling that 65" samsung she wouldnt sell to me, into an SUV. Just looked at her and she ran inside.
