Great chocolate chips! I like that they are on the smaller side for my granola or just as snacks. Normally $5.99 at whole foods and on sale for $3.99 occasionally.

Grocery Outlet is not you're typical grocery store. I would say that 50-67% of their inventory is items they regularly stock and prices are competitive with major chain grocery store. The rest of their inventory is random stuff that is discounted. You see these things once and then maybe never again or they appear again several months later.

Sometimes it's stuff that's about to expire in a month or two or other times the product is damaged. For example I once bought a box of Oreos, the box with 10 sleeves inside, for $2. Turns out half the cookies inside were cracked. Another time they were $4 and the expiration date was 3 weeks out. The ice cream selection can be decent if you're not picky. They often have pints of super premium I've creams for $2.50, but only one flavor.

This is incorrect. Low carb diet but not low cal diet. The darker the chocolate, higher the calories.

Most of the calories in chocolate come from the fat content (cocoa butter) which are high in calories, more than twice the calories in sugar. Sweeter chocolate can actually have less calories by replacing some of the fat with sugar. But they will have higher carb content. So decide based on whether your situation requires carb control or calorie control as the primary goal. If both, buy dark chocolate and eat in moderation as there are some health benefits to cocoa and nothing in sugar.

Guittard as a brand is probably the closest to European standards amongst the rest awful American mainstream chocolate brands which are mostly candy rather than chocolate. Their dark chocolate is really good.

I just cant buy anything less than 85% cocoa bar because seeing how the lower the cocoa is in the bar means that more sugar is in. Seeing how sugar is so cheap these days, cocoa isnt. Plus, carbs are terrible for ya!

Guittard is good. But when I don't want to spend $6 on a bag I think Trader Joe's is also good. They are my go to brand because they are a lot less expensive and the quality is good. Their chocolate chunks are great in cookies.
