Yeah well every time I see when they load it with a single 8GB DIMM hoards of people come out and start complaining about SINGLE CHANNEL, well you can't please everybody apparently.
Gotta say, after returning two XPS 15 with 60Hz screens and getting an Alienware m15 with 144Hz screen, I can't go back to 60Hz. Not just for gaming, but even things like scrolling webpages is so much more fluid that is kinda reduces eye strain.
I don't get why they're still putting 60 hz screens into their gaming lineup..really missing the mark

Is this worth an upgrade from the Dell G5 with the 1060 Max-Q?

Not with this laptop. 1660ti with a 144hz screen is a must in my opinion

Shame on Dell for loading it with 2x4GB DIMMs. You'll have to replace them both to get to 16GB or beyond. At least RAM prices seem to be dropping lately.

I don't see an option to upgrade to rtx 2060 for that price.

Update: ok i see what happened, the 2060 option is 1393 after the discount. OP listed it as 1393 and then applied the coupon on top of it.

So bottom line, price is 1393 with coupon.

Not seeing the 2060 for 1146.59, guessing that portion expired?

I'd upgrade to 2060 without a second thought. Not only 2060 performs better in games, Having the Tensor core is also great for computing. If I could afford to buy now 😂

Brother is looking for a discreet-looking gaming laptop and 9th gen i7, 144hz with 2060 for 1393 seems pretty good, no?

ASUS ROG Strix Scar II is a bit too big and noticeable
Razer Blade 15 has great dimensions and discreet but expensive

This seems like a good medium - is it a good laptop though?
