Added one of these to my tempurpedic a couple of years ago and it makes a pretty big difference. Our tempurpedic is about 8 years old and pretty stiff, this adds a little cushion and cools it down a little. We notice a big difference when we go from winter to summer and put this in place of the electric mattress pad.

Yes you do. Otherwise it comes to about 50+shipping. Two of the codes only work if you use this payment method.

I hate them too. But in 2011 I broke down and got my Kohls card. Since there are SO many kohls deals, it has been as valuable to me (or even more valuable) than my regular credit cards. So as long as you pay on time, and in full every month (and dont have any large purchases you are borrowing for in near future) - its definitely worth considering. And yeah, all the cardholder deals require it. The only way to possibly get around it is to wait till Kohls Mystery code day (usually the last day of the cardholder event), where they give out codes to everyone of up to 40% (pretty rare though....usually you get 20-30%) and choose free pickup. Clearance items dont work for pickup though. Anyway, if you dont get a 40% emailed to you, they are often available at a low cost on ebay.

The pillows aren't much of an incentive. I bought them when they were 3$/ea and I've ended cannibalizing two to combine their stuffing as they flatten in a month or two.
