Sabrent has released an app to convert the sectors in SSD for easy cloning. See this link [sabrent.com] for the deals. I also comes with a step by step manual.

I have the 1TB. Blazing fast, and at this price it's a steal! Just be mindful that it does not do 512e so if you're planning on cloning a different drive, you might have some trouble unless you have the correct software.
All current-gen Macbooks have soldered RAM and SSD. The only way to upgrade a Macbook since 2016 or so is to buy a new one. All according to Apple's keikaku.
E12 controller I think, this is a good deal (EDIT: Uses the Phison E12 with Toshiba's 64L 3D TLC NAND, like many other drives: Corsair MP510, MyDigitalSSD BPX Pro, Addlink S70, and Seagate BarraCuda/FireCuda 510)

Looks like same 5 year warranty if you register the product

Thanks, repped.

After browsing numerous threads (call-out to Newmaxx and other folks in this thread and many others:

https://slickdeals.net/share/android_app/fp/471703)

Basically you can't go wrong with any of the Phison E12 drives, don't whip yourself into a frenzy going through TDW and other things, going rate for a 1tb E12 is about $135 now, take your pick from any of them (here at $115 is great!)

Uggg code can only be used on 1 drive and only 1 order. Tried placing a second order but it won't apply.

It's too bad the external thunderbolt 3 NVMe drives aren't on sale this time. Bought the 2TB last time and it's been awesome.

Make sure you are aware that it would be near impossible to move your existing OS (unless it's 4K sector hdd/ssd) to this nvme. Clean install should not be an issue.
Their customer service is garbage.

Bought the 2TB HP EX950 (SM2262EN controller) for about $40 more a couple of weeks ago. Worth returning and buying this instead for a laptop running a mostly-sequential-read database?
