I put that in the post, for me it's an additional $2/mo but, yes, overall $15 for the plan.

Hopefully you can take advantage of the free pods at least since it's included in your plan.
I was meaning to say that you were already paying for a modem (which is most of the cost of xFi Advantage as it is), so the $2 additional needs to be put in to context that it was on top of a $13 modem rental to really understand the actual cost you were paying for xFi Advantage, but yes, you do hint at it being your specific extra cost, so my fault for making it sound like you had no information there. It's just not quite enough to get the full picture.

Thanks for the post though, I should be able to take advantage and save some money on current wifi setup!

You're only paying 35 dollars for internet? I think ATT is ripping me off.
Oh I wish, lol. $35/mo for xFi Advantage (modem + unlimited data) + speed increase up to 400mbps (from the original 150mbps or something like that). The internet is bundled in my TV/Internet package that was somewhere around $80/mo introductory. So it's about $130ish a month after taxes.

I'm getting scammed big time. Paying $145 after taxes with JUST internet 250Mbps download with the unlimited data add on. If I go for this Advantage thing they will include unlimited data and increase my speed?? Is that true?

If available in your area, as long as you have a certain speed (400mbps for my area) you should be able to get a modem and unlimited data for $15/mo.

For me, I had to pay $20/mo additional for increase to 400mbps.

EDIT: You hopefully can AT LEAST remove the $50 unlimited and replace it with $35 for modem + unlimited + speed increase.

What does xFi Advantage Service costs monthly and how to terminate as well?

It just let me order and I'm using my own Arris modem. Hope I don't get charged.
I work for Comcast and the Pods will only work with an XFINITY Gateway (modem/router). So I would cancel the order

So, how much are you paying for your internet overall?
My bill is $180/mo and that includes TV w two boxes, regional sports fee, taxes, etc.

Unbundling might be a bit cheaper but not worth the hassle IMO.

I don't even have the advantage plan. I thought for sure it would say I don't qualify like the iPad deal but it didn't. How do I even check order status? I cant seem to find it. I'd gladly get the advantage plan for unlimited data alone but I don't think it's available in Utah.

Just an FYI. Cancel one box and get a Roku and watch for free through the Roku and save $10 or more a month on the box you're paying for. FYI, it does not count towards your data watching through your Roku Xfinity Stream Beta App.

Only Central region gives you unlimited data with XFi Advantage.
If you are in Western region, you get modem rental, "advanced security" and the WiFi pods for $15/month extra, but no data. Unlim Data is still $50/month or with business plans.

It's lame that Xfi advantage does different things in different areas but that's Comcast. They have almost no competition in West because CenturyLink is total garbage.

You nailed it. My plan is $50-$60 cheaper a month 15 miles north of me because Google Fiber is in place. It's total BS what Internet companies do. Can you imagine if Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile priced their cell service based on coverage? There would be an out cry but Internet providers screw you with a smile. My choice is Comcast or 12 Mbps through Century Link.

Someone should save people some time and post in the sticky if there is anything that can be done for people who don't lease their modem/router through xfinity. It sounds like a no.

I'd say that while the average xfinity customer probably leases their modem/router through xfinity; that's likely not the case for this site, most of us on here do our own home networking.
