Brickseek has led me to several wild goose chases for Target deals lately, good luck if you think you're going to score one based on what BS says. "Limited stock" at some stores in my area, full price at others, happy hunting SD'ers.

Employees just stash the stuff for their friends to buy.

Certainly seems that way. I was literally in a Target a week or two ago looking for something they allegedly had in stock, couldn't find it, BS said it was "In Stock" when I got there, while waiting for the employee to check out back and around other spots in the store he said they sometimes stashed things in, BS updated to OOS. And there's been other times lately so I'm to a point now that I don't trust BS+Target anymore, it's been a waste of gas every time lately.
employees definitely stash things, but in this case this is $325. I know that's not a ton of money, but it's not like a $15 blu-ray player or something. At this price the item is less likely to be stashed, in my opinion.

Yeah, any time BS says "Limited Stock" that seems to just means that the only ones left have been stashed by employees and won't be on the floor. The only times I pay attention to what BS says is when it says "In Stock"

Many stash to buy to resell on FB marketplace or CL. Especially if they can stack any sort of employee discount--imagine picking this up for $300 if you could sell it for $400. If you make $12/hour working (less taxes), you could buy and flip this thing for $100 cash, that's a day and a half of work.
I typically won't try to resell unless I can clear $200 profit for 8 hours of work or less, but everyone has their own threshold of what their time is worth.

Many Walmart's had similar tv for $299 on clearance a few weeks ago so check there first.
Mine had them for $299 but I passed. 55" curved looks much smaller than a regular 55". Here's the Brickseek though....
