I went to the Walts website and a chat box opened up saying to put in a model number to view any discounts. I put in OLED77C9PUB and they responded with $1800 off making the TV $5,196.99 before calculating tax.

Good deal for launch price. It will likely drop to $4500 in another 2 months. I am betting $4000 by November.

Great deal. So, is the 77 C9 using the newest LG panel? I think read that the 77 C8 panel was a 2017 panel. Thanks!

I don't think it's any different panel wise. Few hardware port and software changes.

Biggest diff is HDMI 2.1. For TV's and Movies and normal use, not a big deal anytime soon. If you PC game and can push 4k at 120fps, it may be worth the price difference.

also airplay 2 support, and apple home kit i believe.

These will not be available with the C8 models.
