This is especially useful for those with kids
I think the main benefit for the Graco Extend2Fit is that it has a tray that extends for height, so that the kid can be rear facing for 5 additional inches of height. Rear facing is considered to be safer than forward facing (even beyond the 2 years mandated by many states), so this allows you to keep your kid rear facing for longer. Now, whether or not the kid will be happy rear facing is a different story... Smilie
Reviews indicate it's worth paying $10 more for the version with the cover that's easily removed.

Thanks! If you go through RMN site and search for target, you can get 5 off $50 (under sales tab on mobile) and 3% cash back. I also have a red card so got an extra 5% off. Final total, I got it for 121.73 after taxes (NC). $113. 24 before taxes.

I have this car seat, it's ok. But it's nothing compared to a clicktight britax in terms of ease of use and design. Having both, I think it's worth the extra money for a slickdeal britax model that's being phased out.

I really don't understand how anyone can like this seat. It's nearly impossible to tighten to the correct amount, despite all the tricks the company gives. My wife and parents don't even come close to getting it safe, leaving me the only one that can tighten the thing, after great effort. Should have just got another Britax.

I have this car seat as well as the Chicco NextFit (regular and zip). Personally this is my least favorite out of all 3. Maybe it's just the one I have but I find it extremely difficult to tighten the straps compared to both of my Chicco AirFits.

Our son also never liked sitting in this one for some reason. Could be because it was in my wife's car and he only wanted to ride in the truck, but I think it was also due to the fact that we couldn't get the straps to fasten correctly. Then again he's kind of a weird 2 year old, last week he got mad because I wouldn't let him play in the active fireplace so he bit the couch.

But I would also like to add that my brother has this car seat and has always liked it. The Extend feature is OK but we both had tall kids and didn't really use that feature (at least while they were backwards facing). Having it extended while backwards facing also doesn't really work. Couldn't get the car seat tight enough to the seat and it pushed it out past the end of the seat a bit.

I'm sure others have had better experiences considering it gets good reviews, but personally I would go for the Chicco NextFit Air Zip if possible. I cannot compare to the Britax as I've never had one although I've also heard good things from friends.

My understanding is that the main benefit for the Graco Extend2Fit version is the extra 10lbs rear-facing (50lbs max vs 40lbs for most car seats). For taller kids does height negate this benefit? Meaning there's also a height maximum for rear facing?
