So, I normally assume that buying directly from a manufacturer's own website costs more than buying from big retail stores who do sales. But, when I was looking for quality merino wool base layer, I discovered that it was cheaper to buy directly from Meriwool after spending hours of research on merino wool layer deals. In my case, I was looking for a bottom base layer for skiing for next year. I found their base layer to be quite popular with great reviews on Amazon, who sold it for $49.99 [amazon.com]. Well, it turns out that Meriwool sells it for $47.99 [meriwoollayers.com]. On top of it, they give 20% discount coupon when you sign up for their email. So, I ended up getting this 100% merino wool base layer for $38, as opposed to $49 on Amazon. I'm pretty sure that their 20% off code is generic, so I'll go ahead and share it. It is LAYERS20. Their product availability is scarce, but you can always email them to find out when they restock something. I wanted a gray bottom layer, which was out of stock last month, but when I emailed them, they told me it would be restocked in June. So, I waited and ordered my bottom layers just today. For 100% merino wool products, they are reasonably priced for sure. I hope this helps others.

P.S. Their website says free shipping on all U.S. orders Smilie

More like winter wear for the summer. Pictured is an average shirtless caucasian male wearing nothing but these merino bottoms, drinking coffee on a cabin patio with a large American flag planted on the rail. Go murica!

Base layers do seem like the deal here - but out of curiosity, does anyone have experience with the socks? 3-packs for $15.19 AC...seems reasonable if they're good quality. I see two different listings for midweight socks - Everest [meriwoollayers.com] and Sequioa [meriwoollayers.com]...I'm not sure what the difference is.

The description seems the same, colors/design slightly different. I ordered the blue Everest using my $5 cozy points which I got from signing up + my first order laugh out loud

The hiking socks seemed like a pretty good deal. I ordered 6 pairs.
I don't get many notifications for my "Merino Wool" alert. I hope that Costco comes out with those shirts again.

Funny that their men's 250 weight shirts are cheaper than their 180 weight shirts. Less material, higher cost. :-)

wowza. I bought one on amazon a while ago for $50 thinking it was a good deal. They are like $5 cheaper on this website + 20% off. I really like that layer.

The problem I have with this brand is that they are not clear on the make up of the shirt. They say 100% yada yada a couple times, but it's purposely ambiguous. Do any of you guys own this brand and what does the tag say?

Unless it says other wise, like on the few blended items they have, everything they sell is 100% merino wool. The yada yada is specifics about the merino they use in the garment.
