Saw a new sign at Walmart that looks pretty interesting. There's no dates on it, and I can't find any info on the deal anywhere which tells me that someone probably screwed up and put the sign out too soon....but anyway.

Seems like a pretty good deal for AT&T network:

$50/mo. but $40 with autopay:
- UNL Talk & Text
- 25GB High Speed Data then 2G
- Hotspot included
- Mexico and Canada roaming included

2 lines would be $70, 3 lines would be $100, 4 lines would be $120, and 5 lines would be $140.

Looks like this deal is only at Walmart - everywhere else has 16GB data offer and it requires autopay. This offer looks like it doesn't require auto-pay.

Is anyone else having problems porting their number after activation? I tried calling CS and going to an AT&T store, and they're not able to do the port without canceling my current plan and starting a new one.

I also got 8GB, how did you activate your phone? Through the web, in-store or through the phone?

I ordered online and activated through the phone using the app... I called AT&T, apparently they said I'm eligible and that I would need to head down to Walmart to fix it.

Really hoping that it's just a system glitch...
Maybe that's why some people are only seeing 8GB bonus data? AT&T's not able to add the Walmart bonus in, so they're putting them in the 8+8 deal instead.

I found a number for AT&T's Port Activation Center, 888-898-7685.

I called them and they were able to port my number over without any issue, but it looks like my account was reset. The renewal date changed and my data usage reset. The concerning bit is that my bonus data doesn't show up anymore. It showed the 17GB of bonus before the port and now it's not there. We'll see in a couple days what/if my bonus data comes back.

No bonus data yet. Activated this past Monday around 7pm. I sure hope they add 17GB and not 8GB within 3-5 days. Finger crossed this doesn't turn into a hassle.

I also got 8Gb bonus data! I had to activate with a rep over the phone this time because my first time i activated the day before, online thru the walmart link and i couldnt port in my number from another area code, and after spending almost 2 hours on the phone, they screwed up and made me return the phone and get a new one from walmart. So the next day on June 16, to be sure there wont be any screw ups, i called CS and gave them the ICCID sim number and IMEI of the walmart phone. I specifically told them that I want to get the 25gb data promo, and the rep said I will get it, and I assumed I will coz i gave him the sim number and imei of the walmart flip phone. But today June 19, I saw online that i only got 8 GB bonus data. I really hope its a glitch. Otherwise im not gonna bother. It was a hassle.

Got the bonus 17GB, just checked.

I activated this past Monday around 7pm using the activation portal (https://www.att.com/prepaid/activ...ivate.html)

During the activation process I picked the plan and the system asked me for payment info. After activation, I noticed the payment hadn't gone through because I couldn't make any calls. Well I then called 611 from the Walmart phone and paid over the phone and line was fully active then.

So for me, the 17GB took close to 3 days to arrive.

I haven't ported my actual number yet. We will see how that goes..

Please keep us posted! I was planning on porting in today but I'm concerned I will lose the 17GB.

At&t incorrectly calculates data. We've had it run our limits within a day or two, when we werent using it. Support doesn't help. Wouldn't trust the 25gb offer to be actual 25

Well then I hope 25GB is enough to not notice it, hah!

Like many of you, I also received 8gb of bonus data rather than the expected 17gb. I spoke to several supervisors and the incompetence is mind blowing. The last supervisor I spoke to had the only explanation that made any sense. She said that during the first month the data is applied in stages. First you will receive 8gb of bonus data, then within 10 days you will receive the difference to give you the total 17gb of data. Subsequent months should see full 17gb applied within 3 days of plan renewal. We shall see.
