Great deal. Don't even want to know what I paid for when I bought it for my Philly condo. So far it's been great. Keep in mind I it's inside a building, not exposed to the elements. But after getting it installed, it took some work getting setup how I wanted with my SmartThings hub. I eventually bought the RBoy Apps [rboyapps.com] and it was so worth it. I now know when someone comes and goes to the condo (get notifications), can let people in remotely, can tell if the door is locked, give temporary codes and more. I bought a door sensor to tell if it's opened and turn on my lights when I walk in. All in all, I'm really happy with my purchase. I don't need one down here in south FL at my primary residence, but this is super tempting. Highly recommended.

I have this lock and smartthings. Lock manager is free to use as alternative to RBoy app. Also have it hooked up to alexa. Seems like HD has this same sale evey 4-5 months.

Not paying any monthly service for this product, coupled with SmartThings.

I just looked i bought this for the same price in February. So seems like a reoccuring sale more than clearing out inventory. Like i said before im pretty sure it was also the same price sometime last last year, so like every 4 months or so.

Not sure, but HD puts these on sale regularly.

For iOS users, make sure you download the old version of Smartthings if you want to be able to create access codes from the app.

This is a good price for new and having a variety of finishes to choose from. I bought both of mine refurbished from Build.com previous deals and the selection of finishes was extremely limited.

Install/setup was very easy, just watch a couple YouTube videos.

It says universal handle but anyone with experience know whether these sets are RH or LH?

With Universal Handlesets, they can be used on both LH & RH doors (i.e., it is reversible)

It fits either. During the install/setup, the lock automatically determines whether the door lock is on the right side or left side.

Do you need a hub for these to work? Was thinking of getting one of these but don't really know how they work. Are they just installed and use an app or does it need the hub like it says in the description.

Despite HD's description, only the deadbolt is universal, the handleset is with right-handed or left-handed. Otherwise, the interior accent handles will curve the wrong way. I have two RH and one LH installed in my home.

I guess I was curious about purchasing one of these where it has a scalloped handle. On the Schlage site, it shows LH and RH handlesets but these ones on HD indicate that they're universal. Curious which one you get here.

FYI, these appear to be the older Z Wave classic versions.
