    It may make you want to replace your left/rights, but otherwise I say go for it. It's not like most people prefer a worse center to match their worse sides. The center is the workhorse for HT, so might as well go with the best speaker you can afford there.

    I don't really need a center, but at $200 I'm tempted myself. Just that I really don't have the space for it nor need it.

    I currently have the def tech pro 1000 l/r/c. I feel like the vocals are a little muddy in movies. Is the Polk an improvement? If probably pair with the lsim bookshelf when they go on sale again.

    I've ordered from Adorama but wasn't sure on return shipping costs. Was sure if it's worth taking a chance and returning later.

    I have a pair of TSx330s as my LR, and some low-end Fluance bookshelves and a Fluance center. I'm considering building a pair of C-notes as surrounds and a matching C-note as a center, anyone know how this would compare?

    The Polk LSi M704 was a dramatic step up in clarity coming from a similar sized center speaker you have now (dual 4.25" woofer + 1" tweeter). It's not muddy or overly bright, it's pretty neutral in sound which is what I was looking for. The LSi M704 was $375 3 years ago, so at $200, it is hard to argue how great this price is for the level of quality this center channel delivers.

    As for return shipping, it looks like they don't refund shipping cost if you need to ship it back.
