No, spec wise the HP is better. For gaming, the HP has a much better video card (GTX 1070). The HP really is a slick deal.

I wouldn't call the 1070 a 'much better' card.. the 1660ti often matches it in real world play. Also the MSi is 9th gen CPU and has a full SSD. The only clear advantage the HP has is it's size and screen. I'd say they're comparable deals..
Of course comparisons can be wrong but this says the 1660TI is comparable to the older 1070 model. It also says TPU is 20W less. Of course most folks gaming are plugged in...

not to mentioned 120hz vs 144hz.. how are the two even comparable deal...? it's not even close when we are talking about "gaming laptops"...8th vs 9th gen cpu is negligible btw.
