Yes, I've contacted Eufy support and the response was pretty much "it's normal".
No, it's not. Compared to the Roborock and Roomba, the Eufy have the worst algorithm.
I wouldn't be dropping $400 being the test (unproven yet) when you can constantly get the S5 for this price range. I can't think of anything the S5 could do better. The highest priced roomba(ignoring self dumping) and botvac all clean the same as the S5. So don't expect magic, best case scenario is it's as good as the S5.
Other robovacs with this feature start at $600, so this is a fairly decent deal for this kind of model.
Have you tried the Roborock S5? It works flawlessly for me with it's mapping.
Instead I went with the other Eufy Robovac 30 deal.

You can buy inexpensive risers on Amazon for this! I got a few for my couch and they work great.

I just got an S5. Its mapping and zone cleaning are game changers.
I did this for my bird cages so that the roborock can fit. Great at cleaning bird seed all day or spreading bird shit all over my carpets depending on the day.
