Thank you so much and repped!
Also, Order a Pocket Wifi and have it deliver to a Lawson's at the airport. Ivideo was the best company I found in rates and speed (about 30 bux a month for super fast speed.) I did this last year and made my traveling so much better. For a country that is so technology advance, free public Wifi are not very common; even worse for those who doesn't speak the language. Not soliciting; just sharing info that I wished I knew the 1st time around.
Definitely choose Singapore if possible, best service of the 3 and the most space (9-across on 777).

Second choice is ANA - but go on their website (even if you plan to book elsewhere), go through the booking process and look at the seat map for your date. Some of the flights are operated with 777s with 9-across (2-4-3), others are 10-across (3-4-3). That's a much tighter squeeze that you'll notice on an 11-hour flight.

United is 9-across on the 787, but that's a narrower plane, so it's also a squeeze, comparable to 10-across on a 777. I wouldn't choose United unless you could get extra-legroom Economy Plus or some other way to upgrade.
you wont find anything for summer Olympics even at regular price

and I don't think japan is ready to host the Olympics imo

amazing infrastructure but no facilities for people with handicap and limited English directions/signs

The most unique country I've been to...and I've traveled to at least 20+ countries on all continents ( stayed at least a week in any of the 20+ )

TU for an amazing and extremely safe country...

Prices from the well known OTA are significantly higher. Anyone have prior experience with Gotogate.com? Reviews online essentially scream runaway.

DOT recently approved several new HND routes for the major US carriers in time for summer 2020, so we could see some deals with the extra capacity.

Do you really want to be there for the Olympics? Tokyo Metro is a sea of ppl at any time without the influx of tourists that will go to Japan for the games....

the carriers have to start their service within 90 days of March 29 2020 (they can start earlier if they are ready)

Olympics is after that window (July 24).

some flights are replacements of existing flights (Delta is basically just moving existing NRT flights to HND), while some are new flights

Out of all the places I've visited, Japan is one of the best country that I've ever been to. My wife is Korean and we both felt in love with Japan when we first visited.

This is a great deal btw!!. We got both of our tickets for $800 round trips 2 years ago from slickdeals.
