UPDATE: Thanks to a post on this thread from Slick Deals member Sabin I saw the price on the Mavic Pro indeed go lower as originally posted! I was able to confirm the Mavic Pro has dropped to $500.00 on Brickseek in MULTIPLE States and locations. I was able to personally replicate the deal for the price of 500.00 20 minutes ago. I did have to drive 25 minutes as my Walmart is tiny. Thanks to Sabin for the find, Walmart for the deal, everyone here for the advice, and Slick Deals for the forums!! Soon I'll be flying my first "real" drone!!
Brand new DJI Mavic Pro is on sale at Walmart Stores in & around my area for $749.00 from their previous asking price of $1499.00. I checked Google Stores, B&H, and a few others and this was the cheapest I could find for a NEW Mavic Pro with the controller & battery.
I will be first to admit I do not know a lot about the DJI Phantom Pro 4 V.2 , and its not on my first real drone short list, but I wanted to let people know it is also on sale for $1099.00 from their previous asking price of $1499.00. THIS DRONE IS NOW SHOWING AS 749.00!! I guess the helpful employee really knew his business!!
The prices above do NOT include local, state, or any sales taxes that may raise the final "out the door" prices of these items. Although I would think everyone would be aware of their local sales taxes some in my first Slick Deals post felt it should be mentioned.
Due to traveling for a family members health care needs I was able to stop in several Walmart Stores yesterday to look for and pick up some great deals posted on this site. I noticed that several of them had the drones listed above at the prices above. At the second to last store I remembered that some folks seem displeased about some deals due to brick seek showing not available or the product not being available just a low price tag. I thought checking availability in person would be better to show it was a real available deal rather then just a brickseek link.
Here is the Brick Seek Link for the Mavic Pro:

Both of the last two stores had at least two of the Mavic Pro's in stock. I was speaking to a GREAT (rare) Walmart Electronics Employee (Drone Enthusiast) and he assured me that the "cage" in the back had two of the Phantom 4 Pro V.2's in it.(card said "SDR") He also said he was watching one for himself, asked why I wasn't interested in the 4 Pro V.2 as he felt it was the best drone there, and that he was going to grab it when the price dropped AGAIN in 10-14 days. He offered to get the manager to get one if I was interested but he had been kind and I knew I was NOT buying one right then. I know folks have different opinions on the pro, air, mavic 2, etc but I wanted to post this in case someone was looking for one. THANKS TO EVERYONE for all the help on my first post & for all the SLICK DEALS!!!

edit: to clarify, great post, I'm trying not to get another drone, but you are really tempting me...
At this point I wouldn't buy a new Mavic Pro unless I got it for a lot cheaper than this. At this price I'd rather have a Mavic Air.

This is what I've been waiting for as well. There's plenty of flymore combo around 879 but I just keep holding off! Flying my Spark until then

DJI is no question the best consumer drone company in terms of hardware, software, innovation and price. They have had a reputation for poor Customer service in the past which I believe stems from cultural differences in consumer business practices in China vs US. I do think they have made a ton of progress in the last 5 years with respect to their customer service and anecdotally I am personally satisfied with the quality of customer service at this point. In terms of new drones coming this year from what I have seen it looks most likely to be either a spark 2 or a Mavic "mini". That being said i would never buy a brand new model DJI. 1. Because they innovate at such a fast pace the value will plummet quickly. 2. There are bound to be some hiccups in new releases and hiccups + drones don't mix well.
