First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.
Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing
The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.
Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.
The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

OK...I bought some Active Lifestyle (a knock-off of Live Active) oatmeal to try to eat for breakfast. This reinforces the fact that I hate oatmeal. That stuff is NASTY. (I DO like one by KozyShack, but that's about it) I am NOT eating any more of it. I ate 2 bites. I switched to strawberries for breakfast.
As far as car doors and doors in public, I'd say it's about 80/20 for anyone to open the door for anyone else around here. My car door doesn't get opened unless we're going on a date and he's thinking business time is in his future if he plays his cards right...
So.... more bathtime drama last night with the twerps. Apparently there's some prime real estate next to the drain that both boys covet. Never mind they were allowed to bathe in my huge garden tub - both had to be in a tiny area near the drain. Screaming, crying, gnashing of teeth... and then BT kicked LT in the head.
As for today - a quick trip to Kroger to pick up the BOGO chicken breasts. I'm making chicken enchiladas with Pace salsa verde, sour cream and monterrey jack cheese.
