First of all, you will need a CVS ExtraCare card. This is obtained easily at any store at the register. Some will ask you to fill out the form then and there, others will just give you the card and ask you to return the form later.

Once you have the card, you can now start CVSing

The biggest thing to understand is that CVS uses a promotional program called "ExtraCare Bucks" (commonly abbreviated as ECBs.) These print out on your receipt immediately once you purchase an item offering them; almost like an instant-rebate you get at the register. You can turn around and use them anytime on almost anything in the store, except for alcohol, cigarettes, and gift cards.

Often, CVS advertises items as "Free after ECB" – For example, throughout the month of November, CVS has Crest Pro Health Whitening Toothpaste in 4.2 oz size, for free after ECB. The cost is $3.49, but you get $3.49 back instantly on your receipt. The best part is that there are often coupons available that can actually help you earn money… like for the above toothpaste, there are $1 off coupons available, meaning the item would be $2.49, but you get $3.49 in ECBs back. The limit on this toothpaste for this month is 2. So if you wanted to start off small to get into CVSing, the thing to do would be to buy one toothpaste in the first transaction (and use a coupon if you have one, so that you either pay $3.49 or $2.49 in cash), then use the $3.49 ECBs you get back from that first transaction to pay for the second tube of toothpaste, and again, receive $3.49 more in ECBs.

The trick now is to roll your ECBs so that you rarely pay more than maybe a dollar or two in tax on transactions, instead using your ECBs from previous transactions… then earning more to keep doing the same. It's a cycle (and a game/addiction to some, lol.)

Tamales are very easy to make just labor intensive.

Last night DH took corn torts and cut them into chip size pieces tossed them into a frying pan with a little oil and then added ham and scrambled some eggs. Yum-oh for a super simple meal. I threw some of my gringo Pace salsa on it. He and Mini Thrift went for the Tapitio and some other HOT HOT sauce. He said you could do sausage or whatever meat you want and throw in potatoes and jalapenos or what not.

Ok so DH asked if you bought Ramirez torts? Teehee He grew up between Amarillo and Lubbock.

He then left the room and said he HATED Ramirez torts when he was a kid.

He also said go to a Mexi market for your torts. They are super cheap there and for the most part are made fresh by the market or a tortilleria.

i looove the mexi marts. there's one in clairmont that has awesome tortillas.

They were Mission yellow corn tortillas. Blush I buy my flour tortillas fresh at the grocery store. I've got an Indian market nearby... I'd have to venture a little farther for a Mexi-mart. Worth a shot, though!

I'm am so pissed. Seriously, is there farking crack in a 360 or something? How many times does it have to be taken away before a teenager learns their lesson Annoyed There are some nights when I wish I could knock some damn sense into my teenager. Tonight I'd like to beat some sense into him.
