Is it worth buying an HP touchpad today?

Someone is offering me a used HP touchpad with no charger for $20. Is it worth buying? Im not planning to do much with it. I want it for when I go away to have some basic internet and email access without the need to carry a laptop with me. I read android 9 was recently installed on it with some functionality missing.

I have only used it to set up and add google store. It feels slow. I have to play around with it.

If you think that is slow, you def wouldn't have liked the HP touchpad. laugh out loud

FTR, I still have mine and it still works. Running an old android on it. Well it works when the battery decides to charge, which is like 10% of the time. laugh out loud
