That means if your are lucky you will get 120-180Watts of power out of your cigarette lighter before fuses blow. So have no clue why they are selling a 300W unit that doesn't have alligator clips on it and only plugs into a cigarette lighter as most anything over 150W needs to connect to the battery.
Also have no clue where they are getting their 700W peak output claim from. There is no way they could be pulling 50 amps through that small DC power cord and no cigarette lighter is rated for that anyway. I think they are getting a little bit liberal with their math.

It takes a fairly heavy cable connected directly to the 12V battery for auto use.
700watt peak is too high of a claim.
For 360watt max rms, the peak is around 510watt.
The rms is the useable number. Peak is the number use to calculate the RMS value and company use it for marketing. Peak x .707 = RMS .
In this case, 300watt is the rated RMS means continuous output. 360watt is the spike draw. Therefore, the true peak value is 424watt.
Does not matter if it 700watt or 424watt peak. None of those number applies to you at the output. The most important number is 300watt.
Even that is false advertise. Like you mention, you cant draw more 150watt without an adapter, which is not included.
