No thanks. I was burned by AT&Ts grandfathered promo for Directv Now. Had a clause that basically said they could raise the rate when they wanted to.

5G won't have as much coverage area as LTE because of higher frequency band. We will have spots for 5G initially and then slowly cover block, street, town, city, state, and then whole country. Don't think because you hear 5G a lot means we are there, it's a really long roadmap which will take at least 3-4 years.

This deal is not exclusive to GM vehicles. Also available on my Ford. Only $10/month for current AT&T subscribers.
Where did you find the Ford offer?

Just signed up for our Honda Odyssey. Entered the car's VIN number during the registration process. All I had to do was turn on the WiFi Hot Spot after starting the car. No SIM required. We have a Roku stick connected to the HDMI input on the rear entertainment system.

Didn't work for me. Maybe because I already have an account. I might have to call.

True 5G in cars will never work right. It will be changing access points every quarter of mile.

$20 Mobley plan is superior. I can move it from car to car or use it without my car running or take it with me to go (with a wifi hotspot device). My plan has no cap or at least I didn't notice one.

here are my two 10 and 30 dollar options

Now that you have your device, let's pick a data plan! We have 2 options: Telematics and Telematics with Wi-Fi®.

I subscribe to the AT&T plan on our Volvo because Verizon sucks and limits me to 600kbps when tethering now. I have two kids who like to sit in the back seat and watch movies on road trips and I have Spotify and Pandora that I use in the car. I guess I worry that I'll have issues, so I pay for the plan.

BTW, this worked on the Volvo and my subscription went down from $20/mo to $15/mo. Thanks OP!
Yeah I'm excited it works!

To piggyback, 5G isn't even 5G. AT&T is saying "the evolution to 5G". T-Mobile is doing 5G the same way ISPs are giving 1 gig down but still 50 Mb up. Verizon is barely in the game....

Shoot, even on top of that, most folks clamoring for 5G will do their speed test, get gleeful, and then just go back to scrolling on instagram or or watch a 4K movie and burn through that 22GB soft cap.

If I had a vehicle that gave this option I'd quickly take it as I can easily imagine my wife and kids using a few gigs a week.

Any way to use this type of plan with a different device like mobley? I don't have the mobley but wondering any other way to do this?
