No thanks. I was burned by AT&Ts grandfathered promo for Directv Now. Had a clause that basically said they could raise the rate when they wanted to.

5G won't have as much coverage area as LTE because of higher frequency band. We will have spots for 5G initially and then slowly cover block, street, town, city, state, and then whole country. Don't think because you hear 5G a lot means we are there, it's a really long roadmap which will take at least 3-4 years.

Thanks so much for your help.. Rep... I did grab mine on ebay is Used but good condition and unlocked..
Pro-tip: when you call that number don't have them transfer you to another department. If that rep can't help you hang up and call back or you'll just waste your time.

I was too like 2 yrs ago. After so many calls 2 att and direct tv. Each one would blame the other and i never got bills into 1. And i was suspose to get buy 1 phone get other free and needless to say that didnt happen. Now that phones r paid off i wanted get new ones. They have the B1G1 going on now but u have to add a line, meaning instead of 2 I'd have 3. Then wTH is my 3rd phone? . Wtf?
I trust them ZERO but i have 2 have their service cause i live in very rural area and i run off of wifi and microcell tower. Cant wait 2 have other provider options. Att owes me big time.

I have a few free unlimited lines with tmobile. Is it possible to use a mobile router with them? I thought they read the IMEI to make sure it is a phone. I need something to boost reception at work.
I don't think you have " few free unlimited lines with tmobile"....that is a simple lying..
there was a "free for life" data line limited to 200Mb data/per month (less than 10 minutes you-tube watching normally, you run out of data) ...
No carrier provides FREE unlimited lines.

Do we need to be an AT&T wireless sub or is it open to anyone?

Also can I cancel after 1 month of service? I need this for a long trip.

Are we talking about the deal the op laid out? I have a Ford Edge that already has built in 4G LTE. I thought I just signed up for the service and it was good to go. What equipment are you talking about?

Thanks,

For my car, I need buy a "Harman Spark" ODB plug in checkout process.
the OP's deal is for GM only.
I don't know if the Ford built-in LTE system would work or not for this deal..
Don't know the Ford has the similar offer or not

It's not GM only. It should be any vehicle that has a built-in hotspot that's on the AT&T network. For example, the same deal is available for FCA vehicles that have the 4th gen Uconnect (17+ Charger/Challenger/300, 18+ most other models) because the UConnect hotspot is now AT&T. If you try on an older one you need to buy the Spark because they used Sprint.

If you received your free lines while on Simple Choice... here's what you do:

1) Make 1 line (if it isn't already) a Mobile Internet line under Simple Choice. You get up to a $25 credit (or $35 credit if it's an older line), so make it the 6GB MI version, not the 2GB version.

2) Turn BingeOn to "on" for that line.

3) Get an Alcatel LinkZone for the MI line's sim. (EDIT: I see T-Mobile has the Coolpad SURF. I use the LinkZone and it works great. I don't know/haven't used the SURF.)

It's essentially an Unlimited line now.... you can stream all the music and video (Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, etc., etc.) without any of it coming out of your data. It'll stream in 720p HD. (1080p tends to stutter...)

Cost will be $1.16 a month in tax.

I purchased a little zippered pouch in Best Buy to carry it and the charger around in. We've been using the LinkZone for our whole-home internet solution for 2.5 years now... works AWESOME! Kicked Comcast to the curb!
