I'm not sure how new this is, but it appears that Kohls has changed their return policy. Items now must be returned within 180 days of purchase.

That "no hassle" policy was a farce anyway. I got the third degree for returning a Keurig machine. The pump went bad. I was asked a long list of questions to prevent its demise. The reason I bought a few items was the lifetime no hassle returns. They don't mention when this policy changed and if it's grandfathered in from a certain date.

My experience has been much different. I've been shopping at Kohls for close to 20 years. While I wouldn't say I was much of a "returner", when I have had to return something, the experience has been easy and quick every single time.

What the lifetime no hassle returns was is a stupid business decision. Too many people abuse systems like that. 180 days seems more than fair.

Almost no one knew about the lifetime returns. The only reason I found out was five years ago I left a negative review. Kohls responded to my review. They made it very vague at the time. Kohls loses most of its revenue from a certain population that shoplift. Mostly in the Midwest. They share a false story with each other that Kohls has a policy to allow shoplifters to walk free for fear of lawsuits and the cops won't pursue.

I was just told via online chat that policy changed 9/1/19 and purchases made prior to that date fall under the old unlimited timeframe policy.

i already returned what i bought like 2 weeks ago... now i have this kohls cash i need to spend.. but dont' know what to spend it on..

I was wondering the same thing... I tried to return something yesterday that I bought last November and they told me that the policy had been in place for the past two years and I couldn't return it unless I wanted to return it without the receipt for a lower return price... I asked to talk to the manager and was told the same thing. It seems that when you purchase an item it should fall under the policy that was in place when you purchased it - seems like a breach of contract.
