But it was pretty lame that after Chuck beat Austin the 1st time (using his mad fencing skills) and got the key, that he let Austin come back up. He should've tied him up against something in the luggage area.
It looks like Chuck is getting better at flashing on demand. I wonder how long a flash lasts for. For example, he flashed to learn to fence and use nunchucks. How long are those skills effective for? Does he forget them after a day and has to re-flash to learn those skills? In the "Matrix", when Neo learned a skill, it was forever.
But then Stevie couldn't return :/

And I don't agree with Casey vs. Austin. I doubt we've seen all that Casey can do, and Austin didn't seem unbeatably impressive, he's just big more than anything else. He punched Chuck in the gut and Chuck got back up. BTW: Chuck did tie him up, but he escaped somehow.

Well, in terms of characters, yes, Casey probably knows how to torture, etc. But in real life, Austin would destroy Baldwin. Chuck should've flashed on tying a knot so that Austin's character wouldn't have gotten loose.

As for the skill thing, be thinking is that the flash tells him what to do next. Like if there's something coming at him it tell him 'block with right forearm'. It doesn't teach him the instinct, it just literally tells him what motion to do under given circumstances. If the instinct is instilled in him, he's basically become Jason Bourne. He has to maintain this version of the abilities to keep in line with the show.
