Obviously I'm talking about their spy characters, not 'real life'. But ether way, you realize that wrestling is scripted, right? Austin is huge but it's not like he has real fighting experience. He could be a huge p ussy for all we know. The only person he's ever actually beat up was Debra (his wife). And I doubt Chuck had a problem tying the knot, the other Ring agent (flight attendant) probably freed him.

As for the skill thing, be thinking is that the flash tells him what to do next. Like if there's something coming at him it tell him 'block with right forearm'. It doesn't teach him the instinct, it just literally tells him what motion to do under given circumstances. If the instinct is instilled in him, he's basically become Jason Bourne. He has to maintain this version of the abilities to keep in line with the show.
I thought wrestling was real. Dammit! What other surprises will someone drop on me, like telling me Santa Claus isn't real? Crylol

Anyway, Stone Cold kicked some ass on the WWE. And who else could give the finger to his boss and chug beer as coolly as him? Cool

I'm still not sure how the skill thing works when he flashes. It seems like there's an expiration date/time, otherwise he could just recycle the fighting skills he learned at the end of Season 2 and not have to worry about using weapons. He claimed he learned kung fu at that moment, but he apparently promptly forgot it after the need to use that skill passed.

It would seem obvious that wrestling is scripted, but then I hear you talking about how Steve Austin could kick Baldwin's ass and I'm not sure you realize that. Steve Austin is not a fighter, he's an athletic actor. He's big and strong but you have no idea if he could handle himself in a fight. Obviously this should be restricted to his character on the show. And on the show, while he was a badass, he was no moreso than Baldwin is portrayed to be.

And is Baldwin a fighter? Maybe they have equal fighting skills, but Austin is way stronger, bigger, and as fake as pro wrestling is, some of the shots still hurt like a mofo. EEK!

Speaking of "Chuck" ... one day to go before we see the newest hottie. woot

Baldwin isn't a fighter either, which is why it should be obvious that I was talking about their characters.

Wasn't Austin's character some feared assassin?

Changing topics a bit, my DVR informed me that the new actress' name is Kristin Kreuk. I went on IMDB and saw that she played the character Fiona in the movie "EuroTrip". No wonder she looked familiar. heart

Yea he's a feared assassin and Casey is a trained spy. Austin punched Chuck in the gut and Chuck got up, you can't tell me he's THAT dangerous. If I punched a geek in the gut he's not getting up that quickly. Austin may be a great assassin because he knows how to use some tools effective, like apparently he loved that sword he was planning to use. That doesn't mean he's inherently a better fighter than Casey.

WTF
We went to watch the most recent episode last night, and it seems like someone at our local station screwed up the audio or something. You could hear all the music and sound effects just fine, but all the dialogue was very, very quiet and echoey. We couldn't even watch it. Audio was fine on the commercials, and on the episode we watched before that.

That happens when they patch the left and right channels from the 5.1 surround audio through and not the stereo as well. In surround sound, most of the dialogue comes through your center channel, which on a regular tv is obviously not there.

I was watching the OTA HDTV broadcast, and the same feed from the same station worked normally on the other episodes Scratchhead
I have it running via HDMI through my receiver, set up as 5.1. I even flipped through the various audio modes (Dolby Digital, TV Logic, and so forth) on the receiver.

Oh, must be something else then. I've noticed a similar issue but once I put on the surround sound the center channel kicks in and the dialogue is much louder. 90% of dialogue in tv comes through the center channel.

I used to constantly have that problem with wipeout on ABC Dontknow I have no idea what causes it, but I would almost always have no dialogue for the first few minutes of the show, nearly every week
