This monitor is designed for professional use. For one, it comes with factory color calibration that provides more accurate color out of the box than a consumer/gaming model like the one you mentioned. In a company where a dozen or more people need to sign off on graphics, having accurate displays to make sure everyone sees the same thing saves time and money, making it worth the price.
The height of the U2412 can definitely be adjusted.
But wondering if the U2415 is worth paying 2x as much as the current U2412 Staples deal for (~$105) for general computer use.
The higher refresh rate alone is worth it. Nothing beats smooth scrolling and non jumpy mouse cursor moving around. I have a 144hz and a 60hz monitor and I can definitely tell the difference. Wish I'd gotten something that was at least 76hz or higher but oh well.
I have two U2415 at home and they are really good monitors for coding and other daily using. Not really great for gaming because 60Hz refresh rate.
But they are 16:10. The stand is really good with all kinds of adjustment. With DP in and DP out you can chain your monitors with on DP 1.4 output. USB 3.0 are much more useful than USB 2.0. The panel is not perfect but basically every iPS panel will leak some light. The sRGB coverage is around 99% to 100%(Spider 5).
Like I said I already had two, or I will get one at this price.

And yet the deal made it to front page.... which means either people know something you don't or there's something you don't know about this monitor.
We have seen a lot of sensible and senseless deals on FP. It's true that one man's trash is another man's treasure. That's why I stopped judging a long time ago.
How is this a deal!???? Even for a regular price 200 is too much. I got lg 32 inch 1440 QHD with 144 refresh rate for 300 from microcenter

Some people are saying that this monitor supports 75hz refresh rate. Is that true at the full resolution? I've only been able to select 60hz on my monitors.

I'd prefer the U2415 for USB3.0 ports and thinner bezels but my 3 x U2412M were all made recently. So even though the model is older they have not been sitting in a warehouse for several years. Great monitors if you understand how awesome 1920x1200 resolution is compared to 1920x1080.
