First post ever - Bought a space gray Apple HomePod a couple of weeks ago at Costco prices at $197.99 when this link was still active - https://slickdeals.net/f/13421683-apple-homepod-smart-speaker-space-gray-199-97-at-costco?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1.

Went to store today and they restocked Apple Homepods. They are now priced at $149.97 and was able to get them to price match. Costco Online NO LONGER have these available, as such these are just available at some Costco warehouse store ONLY. YMMV I would call for availability prior to going.

Also, to my understanding these are not part of the Costco's 90 day return policy (https://customerservice.costco.co...-policy%3F) so you can return whenever. I would confirm at the store prior to purchasing.

How does the existence of the sonos change the fact that THIS speaker should've been designed with an internal rechargeable battery?? Making this apple speaker portable would greatly enhance its appeal and usefulness.

you're right. I'm also disappointed this speaker isn't 5.1 and it's lack of HDMI.
HDMI would be very useful.

I called and there were none in Oregon. The asterisk on the product price tag means it's not coming back either (but most of you knew that). It's at Best Buy right now for $199.99. Not too shabby.

I bought one in myrtle beach sc. I'm returning it though as soon as my wife said hey Siri play a song and it said " Apple Music sub is req"... I told her about airplay and using that instead but ummm yea. I have amazon prime and another music sub isn't happening . I mean it sounded good but I just was like it's another speaker... Alexa will work. I really just want apple dots basically
