I did it twice. In last 2 years. 8 weeks for validation and upto 2 weeks for delivery. Physical card to billing address. 6 months service needed minimum or else they might charge back.

Yes, they do charge back on me, even though I cancelled right on spot of 6 months. They were saying that I cancelled it at 5 months and 29 days, not 6 months. Had to argue with the managers several times before they admitted that I cancelled exactly at 6 months and I got it reversed.
So better be safe than sorry, try to cancel after more than 6 months.
