Pretty huge sign that a new model is imminent when this one (almost exactly two years old) goes on heavy discount.

Have this, like it a lot, particularly with Infuse to read media off my NAS.

You don't. I never buy from the overpriced ITunes. Just about any non Apple subscription ordered through ITunes is 20% higher. Compare pricing.

I feel like Slickdeals has lost its luster the last year or two, really ever since FW died. Not sure what it is but I miss the old days! (still look back fondly on my $99 HP Touchpad purchase!)

Great deal. Have 1 already and love it. Only reasons not picking up is potential for newer version and Apple TV app now on other devices. Free year of Apple streaming service with new devices is genius to get that off the ground.

I think this may be the price going forward on their devices. Apple TV has already been blasted in the media (although not even released). There is one way to get a foothold in this market, and it involves selling the hardware at a reduced rate, or even a loss. The same way as PS and XBox
