2. How to Redeem Your Offer

2. Trade-in an eligible device.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

all plans should qualify. for simple choice the costco rep has to call t-mobile with a "token" code to add the line as their system doesn't allow it.

Went to Costco earlier today and the manager claimed that I couldn't take advantage of the offer since I had 4 cancelled lines. I've only cancelled one line on the account since inception, and that was well over 90 days ago. I took a glimpse on their screen, which linked phone numbers and devices I've never owned or used to my account. They also claimed that they couldn't tell when the lines were cancelled, and I would have to reinstate all 4 lines, some of which weren't even listed as voice lines (one of the lines had a Coolpad surf listed). I didn't put up a fuss, and will be going to a different store tomorrow to try my luck again. Apparently people have been banned, so I'm glad I didn't push it. Really irritating though.
