Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.
The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

I did a promo back in May (opened a second T-Mobile account for that) and now they would not allow me to open a new account under the same SSN.
Stuck on a TMO One promo plan (100 for two lines plus one line free). If I touch this plan, I'd lose a free line. So frustrating.
Has anyone not on the newer Magenta plans successfully get this deal?
So question, after the 60 or 90 days, am I able to use this phone on straight talk?
OK, here is mine to give you some light:
Official answer is that " If you send a Device that is not in working order and does not meet the Program's eligibility requirements, we will not be able to credit your account)". What's the eligibility requirements? Read the attached document. In regard to the screen part, it is "Does the LCD/screen work when turned on, without any cracks or void areas (i.e. missing pixels) on the display screen". You need to make your own judgement on the qualification of your old phone.
Now my personal answer, since they miserably only estimate the old 6s at $36, I have a hard time to believe that they will carefully examine each phone. So my guess is that so long as the damage is not obvious, they will pass it. Don't blame me if I am wrong, but that's my best guess.

You cannot have a cancelled line on your plan in the last 90 days. This is the requirement to qualify for the rebate. This is to prevent people from cancelling current line and adding new line for a new device on a discount.

You might get away with it but it's very risky.
If the Costco wireless rep checks it and DOESN'T see the crack, you are still not in the clear. Because you have to ship the phone to Assurant, and they inspect the phone again.
