The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

The Costco deals for T-Mobile have the advantage of a lump-sum payout instead of being spread over two years. That lets you drop the additional line you don't need.
... but that only applies if you buy an in-stock phone. And stock on the higher-than-base memory configurations tends to be less in general.
So best to first spend time on whether you need 128 or if 64 would be fine.

This time on this promo its a much lower amount but max 4 per account. So I would say some people who want/ need more phones this is a great deal. Last year I was able to get the Xs and a few weeks later a friend on my plan also wanted in, but couldn't due to the limit.
