I don't want to port in my phone number because I'm in a family plan which I don't want to get affected.
Instead, can I just by a prepaid sim card and port in that number?
No need for porting. Just open up a new account/line

I have a SimpleChoice plan....can I keep it if I take this deal? Or would I be forced to upgrade to a Magenta plan (which I'm not going to do)?
I'm looking for the same answer... Anyone tried this with SimpleChoice plan ?

He would have to have another device to keep Verizon's line active if he's planning to trade in the old iPhone to T-Mobile, I suppose...
Ahh ok. I didn't know the user needed to trade that device. Should just find a cheap 6s if he wants to keep that Verizon plan

Depends on the provider. Can't be under the Tmobile 'umbrella'. Such as metropcs

Many have tried and were denied at Costco.

Everyone is talking about jumping on this offer and then cancelling and having the phone unlocked afterwards.. I assume they are going back to cheaper family plans?

If I'm on a 5GB single line with Verizon currently paying $52/month, is this not slick if I just decide to stay with T-Mobile? I also wouldn't be able to get back on the same plan with Verizon in the future, so I would be paying more regardless.

Thanks in advance!
There are many options, 1) stay with T-Mobile if you like it after all, 2) find an alternative network like Xfinity using Verizon network for cheap, or 3) keep Verizon. Option 2 probably is the most cost efficient one if you already have xfinity internet service.

The phones are $629+ tax each (so say $680). You would get $580 back off each phone after the credit and rebate card (so net cost of $100). Phones need to be on tmobile until you at least get the rebate card (approx 8-12 weeks) before you cancel. 40 days before they can be unlocked.

If you're over 55, you can do that plan of ~$60/month. So figure 3 months worth to be safe ($180 total) plus whatever it costs to get 2 iPhone 6s (you say $100 each)

So I'd figure $580 total (2* $100 net after rebates/credits, 2 trade in phones at $100 each, $180 total for 3 months calling plan)
Thank you for this! I"m not over 55 years old, is that what you meant by this plan? What's the cheapest plan I can get with two lines? Or should I get 4 lines and sell 2 of the phones?

I picked up 4 today. All they had was the 64gb 11. I'll flip a couple after I get the rebate cards and the other two will be Christmas presents for the kids. Saved me some money on Christmas and they got better phones than I would have bought them. Thanks!

This looks like a great deal for people like me who still have an iPhone 6s! I'm confused if this deal would work for my situation though.

My family and I are currently on T-Mobile ONE plan with 3 lines. We all have an iPhone 6s, and we'd all like to take advantage of this offer and upgrade to the iPhone 11 (so trade in 3 x iPhone 6s). When we open 3 new lines, is it possible to use our old numbers on the new iPhone 11 phones? If so, how would that work? After reading some of the posts on this thread, it seems like we can have 2 SIMs on each new phone, but then what would happen to the old lines? Would we still need a phone active on those lines?

I plan on trading a used phone purchased on Amazon, but it hasn't arrived yet.
Do I need to have my trade-in phone with me at the time of purchase or can I go get my new TMO phone and mail in my trade-in when it arrives?

Thanks!

I just bought an iphone 6s locally. Did the following checks before purchase.
1. IMEI search in swappa and another site - both came up as clean and phone is on whitelist.
2, Seller confirmed the icloud is not locked and find my iphone is switched off
3. During power on the phone is asking to "setup up iphone"

Am i fine with the checks and can i assume the phone is eligible for trade-in?
TIA
