Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

Just make sure you get the virtual prepaid card first. Use that card to pay off or most of the phone. Pay off your phone and then you can cancel the T-Mobile line.

Keep this in mind that you will not be able to sign up for future promos for a period of 90 days. But, if you wanted to take advantage of future promos you will have to reactivate this line that you will be cancelling.
Could you explain how I can use virtual prepaid card to pay off the phones. I think when you take the phones with you in Costco, you already pay off the phone. would that be too late when you receive the virtual card?

Ask the store
Chatted with Tmobile - port in from MetroPCS is fine. At their end there is no end date for this promotion, but as this is a costco offer she asked me to check with costco. Called costco Kiosk, and he didn't know if it will be extended and asked me to keep checking....so i guess if someone wants to do multiple lines get it done by 11/7.

We bought 4 phones from Costco and kiosk representative messed up the trade in process and it didn't generate any shipping label too , we are following up with kiosk guys , but no luck so far, any one know how to fix this issue and process the trade in and get the shipping label. We called customer care from member wireless but they are telling they don't have any option to update the trade in details and generate shipping label and asking us to go back to kiosk .

Yes because they need the imei number off it and they check it for screen cracks and other damage.
I was just asked for the IMEI - I didn't need to have the trade in phone when I did the deal.

Planning to do the magenta plan for three lines. Can someone confirm if the "buy two lines and third line free" offer can be combined with this offer to get a total monthly payment of $120?

Also planning to port in from metroPCS. Is that okay considering metroPCS being a Tmobile MVNO ?

I have read entire thread but did not see this answered anywhere...Thanks again for the super useful info here.
Yes, the "buy two lines and get the 3rd free" works with this. I asked the rep on the weekend on the Magenta Plus plan and it works. It should be no different for the Magenta plan.

Do you have to pay 4 phones first? The rep said there is no trade in credit only $580 Rebate on Visa card. I am not sure she knows too much

I purchased 2 devices yesterday trading in my iPhone 6s. While I was able to accurately give the phone model, IMEI and storage information of the devices to be traded, I was not fully prepared for the carrier that the devices came from. While I was porting 2 lines over from Verizon, the phones themselves were lying around from previous iPhone deals from Total Wireless or Tracfone (dont remember). We ended up mentioning the carrier as Verizon. Is the carrier information of the old trade-in device critical? Will that cause any problem as they process the trade-in?

Anyone has any insights? Appreciate your help.

Thanks, yes i confirmed that as well with the Tmobile rep. She said when you add two lines 3rd line is automatically added. The credit for the extra line will be credited back from the second billing cycle.

Don't think it matters as long as the IMEI is correct. In a previous deal, I traded in a 6s from Total Wireless and the rep put in AT&T. I still got my rebate in 6-8 weeks
