Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.

just bought 6s from best buy (total wireless) for trade in but was denied at costco because the rep didnt know how to pick the correct device during a trade in process. Fml
Tracfone would have worked.
Att works as well, any carrier works. The main importance is the IMEI being correct.

I like to get the phone, open line, pay for one or two day on plan line, close the line, and get the phone unlocked.

Anyone done this, can you please post how you did and how much it costed?
What a scammer. Do you think they are that stupid?

To answer your question how much this will cost - it will cost you the price of the new phone. You will not get any rebate.

Speaking of trading-in locked iPhones, what do these guys (T-Mobile) plan to do with all these network (like ATT, Tracfone, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon etc) locked iPhones???
I mean I don't believe they sort these 1000s of devices and then resell to the specific carrier's customers...that sounds like way too much (and not worth) work for them !

It asks to upload receipt and box with imei. I believe it's box with IMEI of new iPhone 11 but can someone confirm?
since almost nobody still has the box of the old phone.... the answer is obvious.

Yup, many times they just put "generic" in the "carrier" box for the old iPhone...lol
Which means they don't give a rat's a$$ which network it's locked to...!!!

I've wondered that myself. I think they just get recycled. Same as when apple was giving $200 in gift cards for iPhone 6s. Many of those old 'remanufactured' phones have 3rd party parts such as screens and batteries.

I would agree that it does not matter. I think when somebody programmed the online forms, they put that in there for whatever reason. I know it had the wrong answer when I did one of mine last year. Bought used phone and the lookup said it was locked to Sprint and still owed money. It was locked, but guessing the money part was wrong...

Er, it is a fact. I think you read the term wrongly (https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-4791):
"Magenta/T-Mobile ONE Military" and "T-Mobile ONE" plans aren't eligible. I think the former is already discounted, so you can't double dip.

Why don't you just give a try?
I signed up last night.

It first told me to go to the promos page and add a code which then told me magenta plan wasn't eligible.

This morning I received a text saying my account is verified and I would receive the $25 master card.

All these pages I've read and this is the first time I'm hearing about this.

Repped.
Thank you.

They have contracts with another company that does just that. Recycle, refurbish and resell. That is why they want a device with intact screens and icloud unlocked and sometimes require not to be blacklisted. These companies dont care about carrier locks as they are able to get them unlocked.

I think you are right...they unlock it and then resell those to companies like Tracfone/Sprint/ATT/Tmo etc who again relock those and put up for sale (under "reconditioned" category) on their websites...!
And ppl like us keep this life-cycle going on...LOL !!!

Quick questions-
1. How are you guys sending trade-in phone? It is okay to bubble wrap it and send in bubble envelope? Or can I put it in phone box and then use bubble envelope?
2. When you go to your TMobile account online, do you see correct device as iPhone 11? For me it is snowing as unknown device and when I asked TMobile support, they are asking for imei number to add to account. If i do not provide imei number, is it going to impact rebate?

You say this as a joke but when I bought my Note 9 from Costco the At&t system crashed during the configuration of the monthly payments and I ended up only paying taxes and got to keep the phone and continue to pay off the old "At&t next" phone

1. I usually cut the Amazon bubble packets and wrap the phone in it and then put it in an envelope and send it.
2. No.. It does not impact the rebate..

I did trade in 2 6S to get 2 64GB 11 and use the 55+ plan for two lines for $70 a month. Now I need an extra 11 to make 3 lines to take advantage of 3rd line free.

The question I have is I already submitted the rebate online and send the 2 iphone 6S out. If I change the plan to get the 3rd line free (paying $120/month), will it affect my rebates that I've submitted for the two phones above? Anyone has any insight? THanks.
