im an existing tmobile one customer. I went to costco today to trade in and add two new lines to my tmobile one plan by trading in two iphones. They said if I change my tmobile one to magenta that would count as adding a line to magenta, then with the trade ins the add 2 lines, third is free promotion applied. So just had to pay $50 more for the 2nd line and avoided the $20 more for the 3rd line. Slick!

Guys, be careful about the plan rep is enrolling you in. I wanted Essentials plan, but he put me in Magenta Plus plan!! When I checked the paperwork it was too late and he said I will need to call T-mobile or change it online .....I just hope it doesn't affect the rebate Smilie
Did anyone changed their plan later?

If I do not do trade in, does the retail price still cheaper from costco? Is it unlocked if I pay it in full? Don't think black friday has any deals without trade in for iphone 11. Thanks.
Yes, the retail price is still cheaper. It will be unlocked after 40 days. Only Apple sells truly unlocked-from-day-one iphones at this point in the US AFAIK

I don't understand what's so difficult to understand...lol
See the attached page, everything is clear.
go to the website, provide the promocode and your personal info !
It will ask to upload a pic/photo of Costco receipt (for the new phone e.g. $681.xx)
and it will also ask to upload the pic of new iPhone's box (backside) with IMEI# and stuff!
That's it !!!
Thanks. I ended up been confused with some wording about porting a number ie: You should only fill the form when your port to TMO is done as they will send you text messages about the process. The reason Why I got stucked is that I had to sign up into my account first to access the form, not sure why. thx again

Did you guys get any paperwork regarding the rebate? I only got the shipping label and the paper I signed for opening a new line. I don't have any paperwork regarding the $500 something rebate. Anyone got papers for the rebate

weird situation:
everything went smoothly, got the shipping label and shipped everything out. A bit later the costco rep actually called one of the numbers and left a voicemail saying he needs the IMEI of the new phones I've just bought.

Anyone know the process think this will impact the rebates? or is something purely on the costco kiosk side for their record keeping/commission?

I went out of my way to stick to the One plan. 4 of the 5 voice lines we have use less than 2G of data a month and get $10 kickback. This would not carry over to Magenta plans.

If it works for you, that's great. Just be aware of all the changes.

Makes sense to save $40 than save $20! Im at around 15 GB data use a month right now (lots of commute time) so wouldn't apply and with 3 total lines, two of the 3 lines would need to be low usage to be better than the 3rd line free. I didn't even know one had a kickback option though thx for sharing!

When I did the Costco deal back in April the rep automatically enrolled me in the tmobile one plan. I called up tmobile and switched it to the lowest voice plan when I got home. I still got the rebate 2 months later

Yes, they printed out a "T-Mobile Costco 2019 iPhone Active Trade Save Promotion" paperwork with the information. It lists the offer requirements, and on my paper I had to initialize a "Customer Initials" checkbox, and then sign and date it on the second page. The kiosk agent highlighted the model I was trading in the paper (6S), and circled the "Total Offer Value Received" of $580.

This was all stapled together on the same pages as initials for their privacy policy, service terms, etc.

At the bottom of the page specific to the promotion it says:

How to Redeem Your Officer:

1. To receive this offer, you must buy a new Apple iPHone 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, XR, XS, XS Max and use the device on your new line of T-Mobile service.
2. Trade-in an eligible device.
3. Go to http://www.T-Mobile.com/Promotions within 30 days from date of device purchase.
4. Enter all required fields AND:
- Promo Code: COSTCO2019APPLETRADE
- IMEI of purchased device (Please dial *#06# from your handset to obtain)
5. Upload a copy of your purchase receipt (for Costco Warehouse customers)
6. Upload an image of your device box IMEI.

Note: You will log in to redeem your rebate using your T-Mobile ID.

I completed that process earlier this morning, pretty simple. You "should" have this paperwork as well I would think...

As a current T-Mobile customer, can I add a new line for the deal, cancel the line, then use the iPhone with my current number?

I added a new line yesterday at Costco and the associate told me it won't be a Master card gift card, just monthly bill credits for the next 24 months. Do I have an option to choose between a gc and bill credit? I was going to pay off the phone bill ASAP.

Yes you can do this.

You'll probably never see your rebate though if you cancel before the rebate arrives.

I caution everyone on iPhone 11 quality. I jumped on this deal on Tuesday, ported my number and get the iphone 11. within one day of normal use, I see scratches on screen, one of them I can even feel with my finger nail. My 4 year old iphone 6S is in much better shape comparing to this one day old screen. I quickly googled and found out it is a spreading quality issue. Now I do not know what to do. I do not want to keep it yet I have ported my line etc. Such a hassle!
