Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.
The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.
It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.
Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!
Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!
Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!
And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.
How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500
iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580

They can't do something which isn't in their policy... ;-)
But just out of curiosity, I wonder how are these 2 steps related?
I mean why do they want us to "submit online" as well since anyway we are shipping the old phone out? The online trade-in process is already (almost) done at the kiosk by the store guy right?
And if they really want a record in their "online system", rather than asking us to do it, why not just add 1 more step at the kiosk so the Costco guy can do this for us in like 30 more seconds? Anyway we are just uploading the Costco Receipt and the box-back pic right? We have both at the time we are at the Costco anyway!!!
I am asking this because when I did the similar deal in the TMo store (with 24 months credit of course), those guys did EVERYTHING themselves including the old phone shipping so I had NOTHING to do from my side !!!

Your part of the trade-in requires you to be logged into your personal online T-Mobile account.
If you don't mind the rep getting your user name and password to log into it, you can certainly ask them if they'll do it for you, but that's basically a public computer and that's on you.
the original trade in phone fell and the lower corner of the screen kindda popped out , not cracked! under 3rd party warranty they replaced it with another phone.

No, they will not accept it.
The steal here is buying a cheap iPhone, preferably the 6s for under $100 and trading that in.
Sell your X yourself because with that phone you can at the very least get $400.
No, they will not accept it.
what do you expect them to respond with?

People keep asking these unnecessary questions which raises flags.
I actually passed by last week to Costco and when it was my turn, the rep asked "did you call before coming"? I said 'no'. He said, "good, if you would have said yes, I wouldn't do the deal for you".
Somewhat arrogant on his end but I get it.
