Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

Do I need to have trade-in devices on hand to do this deal?

If i buy online 6s now and i receive later this week *after the 14th), it's too late, right?
I did this deal last night and the rep took all of my MEID numbers from the phones we intend to trade in. I didn't need to have them present, but they needed to know the MEID, carrier, generation/capacity and color to enter into their system for a quote. I was able to get the MEID's from my Verizon app and just asked the kids the rest of the info since they're scattered around the country. He did tell me that if I didn't have them readily available that I could just call TMO and they'd send out the shipping labels etc., but I opted to have him do it all there so I left with everything. It's an online redemption for the gift card and the phone value for the trade gets credited to your TMO acct once they receive the phone with the printed receipts showing all the "agreed upon" values that are generated during activation. My 64G 6S's were $33 and a 128G iPhone 7 was $78. Well worth the $580 back each, and the TMO iPhone 11 (128) rang up $679 each; so net is $99/phone plus monthly on Military Magenta plan until the cards fund. FWIW, the $580 back is a great deal obviously for the iPhone, but they also have that 50% off military special going on the Samsung phones- I picked up the Note 10+ 256G for $999 and get half back on the prepaid MC for that too- limit 12 on those. thanks. seems like it's better to have phones (or the IMEI info) before and do the deal, just to be safe.

I am amazed at balls people have to call in store to say hey i am taking this $700 phone but will cancel the line in 2 months after i get my rebate, are you ok with this?

what do you expect them to respond with?
I think people wont stop until they hear the answer they want.

Its easy to read through the papers rather than ask strangers in internet or clueless reps at the store.

I'm on T-Mobile, but I'm on Simple Choice. Can someone verify two things (if the math checks out and also a SIM question).

I have an iPhone 6 that I use on a daily basis, but my wife has an iPhone 6S that she doesn't use anymore, so that's what I'll be trading in.

My plan is this:
1) Start a new line of T-Mobile service. $70 bucks a month.
2) Trade in my iPhone 6S. Get a credit of $580
3) Wait until I get the gift card, then cancel my T-Mobile service.

$775 for iPhone 11 128GB (taxes in California included roughly) - $580 = $195
Service for roughly 3 months: $210
$210 + $195 = $405 (net price) for a new iPhone 11 128GB.

My only concern: can I put in my iPhone 6 SIM card into the iPhone 11 and use my current phone number? Or would I have to wait 90 days (or until I get my gift card) before I call T-Mobile and ask for a new SIM card for my now unlocked iPhone?

despite all the glamarous reviews of the cameras. all the new iphones 11 and pro still take shitty pics compared to my pixel 2 xl i have done about 50 side by side comparisons and iphones 11 have always failed. yes ip 11 has a great video camera which is undisputed

This doesnt even include the new astro mode which is a total game changer and can be used to take building pics lighting strikes and moving cars at night,
there is a 10X improvement on night sight and if u zoom in u can see the clarity which comes on astro. but u need a tripod of some kind. i am going around nyc and retaking all the night pics and do they look so good

Technically you can use your iphone 6 sim since both the phone takes same sim card size. Also, since iphone 11 will be locked to Tmobile, it will still work with other Tmobile sim card.

BTW, I am doing the same thing.

Good question....I'm wondering the same thing. When I've added lines to the same account before, it was no problem switching handsets as long as on the same account. But your proposal is technically a different T-Mobile account so I'm not sure either.

Is this deal valid for existing customers who wish to just trade-in an iPhone (6s or above) and just get an iPhone 11 without adding a line? I called a couple of stores in SoCal and they said its not valid for existing customer who not wish to add a line. Did I just mis-read the offer?

original stated his was a 6 and wife's was a 6s and said he would trade the 6s.

TMobile is offering$700 to $1000 off, bill credits. This seems lukewarm.
Tmobile retail price is higher than costco warehouse price, and dude... Bill credits vs rebate card is a night and day difference
