Yes, after the Costco associate takes out the phone, grab it and run out the store with it. If you are fast enough, this will work...

Most of the questions asked here are either in the promotion posting, or are just stupid. Read before posting.

The document tells you which items will be accepted for trade. You can NOT do a IP6, or SE, or Samsung, etc.

It really does not matter how much they give you for the trade. The total rebate you will get will total $580.

Yes, this promotion is for people adding T-Mobile new lines. Duh! Think!

Simple math tells you that trading in an XS or XR is probably not going to make sense in most cases. So, if then don't. Duh!

Nobody has asked yet, but yes the phone must be paid for. And yes it must work. And yes it must not be broken. Duh!

And yes, you must have a Costco card to pay for the phone.

How much does ___ cost at Costco? Easy - go to the website. Prices are listed.
iPhone 8 through Apple gets you $220
iPhone XS through Apple gets you $500

iPhone 8 through this Costco deal gets you $580
iPhone XS through this Costco deal gets you $580

Would blemishes on the screen (not cracks) possibly deny the trade-in?

personally, I think it will get denied.
I am not sure though

i have a last year iphone xs max (with tmobile 750 credit promo) so still locked with tmobile and getting monthly credit... if i trade that in i get 580 on the 11 pro max? so essentially trading in iphone xs max gets the same amount as trading in iphone 6s
why would you do this?
First, it's still on an EIP.
Second, you can sell that phone for more money on your own.

Buy a cheap iPhone 6s and do the trade.
Sell your xs max on your own and pay off some of that EIP balance that you owe. Hopefully you are almost done paying it off.

Thank you for the quick replay, 90 days from cancelation and not the final bill, correct?
Quote from Dhespinoza :
Usually need to wait 90 days after you cancel your line to qualify for new phone promotions. If it hasn't been 90 days then you'll have to reactivate that canceled line and then you'll be eligible for this promo.

correct, it SHOULD be 90 days from cancellation.
BUT, reading this thread, some users have been denied service even though it's been well over 90 days. Costco reps see the cancellations and think you will do the same with this deal. So they will deny you any type of service.

good to know that I will know about the denial right away, if I do not get the gift card after 3 months all this process would be for nothing

And then he can attach the new Costco iPhone to that newly added line? It doesn't affect the rebate, even though it was added by Tmobile and not the costco rep?
Exactly

I got 4 new lines and turned in 4 6s plus devices.

my trade-ins were received last Wed or Thu.

Friday I received a text on each phone (except 1) saying my device trade-in credit of $x has been applied to my account. 24 hours later, I received another text on each phone (on all phones this text) saying my submission has been received and allow 8 weeks for processing.

All seems to be going well, except for the one thing. only 3 of my phones received the trade-in credit. My last phone did not receive a credit on T-mo bill. But yet, I did receive the 2nd text about my submission being processed on that phone.

How can I tell if my last phone is still getting the full $580 rebate?

None of the locations around me have the pro 256 GB model. I was told none of the locations stock it. I was told they can order it to ship but then I would get the monthly credit applied to my account over the 24 months period. Their inventory really stink.

I have a 6s plus that has a cracked screen.. planning to get it repaired from a third party and use it for trade-in, will such phones be accepted for trade-in? any body has positive/negative experiences doing this way ?

no experience myself with the situation, but many have reported as long as it looks good and works, it should be fine.

I haven't been to Costco myself to check, but somebody a few pages back mentioned Costco only carries 64gb phones.

There shouldn't be any issue if I do this deal on a new line, then the next day call T-Mobile and cancel an existing line, right?
